Stoops would be an absolutely terrible hire. Oklahoma's defensive rankings from the last 3 years:
2012: 76th.
2013: 22nd.
2014: 51st.
For some context, the statistically worst LSU defense of the past decade was in 2008, when LSU finished 35th in total defense.

OK. I'm going to try and look at the bright side of Stoops.
He's been playing against a lot of spread offenses which pretty much every school has had trouble figuring out so, that might contribute to his softer numbers at OK.
Maybe Les is thinking that he wants a DC who has experience dealing with spreads.

If they hire Stoops I'm not going to a single game next year just like I wouldn't if Steele was the choice. This better be false.
If Stoops is hired Miles is intended to get canned soon. Only way I can see the logic behind a hire like Steele/Stoops. They've accomplished nothing at DC.
