And, frankly, unlike most on this board who are anti-Miles, I PREFER a team capable of running it down your throat. I find NOTHING more annoying than being unable to consistently pick up 3rd and 2 or score near the goal line. Note though that I don't mean RUN HEAVY.......that's probably where I diverge from Miles.
I just think Miles takes it to some absurd extreme.

Great.
So if I say that I'm in the anti-Miles camp, then it's okay to say things I like about him.
But, if I say I like Miles, but would change some things, then I'm okay with the decline, and the only solution is for Miles to go...
Not saying that you're saying that, but that is the general consensus.

Frankly, one of the annoying things on this board is that there are morons on both sides of the argument and thus, each side labels EVERYONE on the other side a certain way.
That said, there really are a couple of folks in here who basically seem to follow ANY AND ALL negative postings in order to lambaste people. And, some of those, while saying they have issues with Miles, pretty much NEVER actually articulate them.
But, to be fair, that's probably part of the problem too. For example, I really like, in general, I've liked defense the whole time Miles has been here and while the Malveto thing was in fact painfully stupid, at least he quickly rectified it.
I'd say 99% of my issues with Miles revolve around his downright AWFUL approach to QB play, his play it safe to a fault approach to offense and his well documented lousy ability to manage certain game day situations.

I read about the stoops interview on my way into church a little while ago and plum forgot to pray it wasn't true. May need to go back and get it done!

Definitely idiots on both sides, and that is what leads to a lot of the pissing matches on here. That said, I do think that it's the morons on the hate Miles side that instigate most of it. I totally accept that people disagree with many things he does as a coach, but when he's referred to as a moron, idiot, stupid, etc. It annoys me on a couple of levels.
For one, there's no way that he graduated from MI with an economics degree and had the success that he's had by being short on brains. Also, he's not here to defend himself, and NOBODY here would call him an idiot to his face. Well, maybe a couple would...
He's a man that has had a lot of success here and has been a great steward of the university and the State of Louisiana. Criticism is fine - I just wish it was more constructive in nature, than inflammatory.

I never had a problem with Les Miles until he was hired at LSU. I actually thought that it was a lie for about a week. I've always felt that he was a horrible coach who's faults were camouflaged by the talent at LSU. He did an ok job until 1/9. Here recently I've tried to give him a fair shake, but then he always finds a way to screw shite up again

Just spoke to a source and I feel pretty good about saying that Stoops was not offered the job.
