Personally, I think no matter what, Les will try to work with Jennings until we get to a point where we have no choice to make a change.

Last year, Miles had the excuse that Harris was a true freshman and that he performed poorly at Auburn. Miles doesn't have that "luxury" this year. Barring a miracle, Jennings will be about the same. But this time, without the built-in excuse, Miles will have to play Harris because he knows it will hurt recruiting if he allows the same crap to go on all season.

Jennings will never be good enough to take this team to the SEC Championship and 4-team playoff. He simply doesn't have the talent, and that's not going to change no matter who is calling the plays.

I'm sure after the pick 6 fiasco a perfect regular season, SECCG, and NC game were in the cards for J Lee too......

Saith the man who several times compared JJ to All-Pro NFL QB's. Even though you are related to him, that alone says you are clueless when it comes to QB evaluations

There were still games where the offense completely failed him, under saban, miles, Bowden and himself. He lost to nc state twice. But I guess we can say losing to UAB means Jimbo was some genius offensive mind while at LSU. Even with good qb play at FSU, he made the title game once in a weak arse conference where not one team is remotely close in the talent they pull there every cycle. So spare me the coaching bullahit. His team was just run off the field, completely embarrassed.

Pretend you are all the negatigers, and receive this information:

There are umpteen NFL teams wishing they had a premier QB.
There is one QB who is football ready for this draft and he has shown a lack of common sense, and has been afoul of the law. He threw a lot of INTs, so many you have to wonder if he has the brains, but people say he does.
There is one who is not ready for prime time because he played a non-NFL offense, who is as fast as the fastest LB's.
Its your guess if there are any in the class who will ever be a star in the league at QB.
What makes you think there are 40 QBs that LSU missed on?
Harris can be that guy. He was not poised in his freshman year.
Give him time.

Harris has no choice. He HAS to be the guy. Anyone that still has faith in the shite show that was Anthony Jennings is just as delirious as Miles was in the JJ era. If Harris doesn't step up and firmly seize the position this spring from Jennings, it'll be a VERY VERY long season once again.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say - because I believe you left an important word out - but if you're OK with Jennings playing all of next year then there's no use in trying to explain further.

Am I the only one that thought the season was pretty good?

Stopped at the one on a bad call, or terrible blocking, in the Miss State game, and the Bama game was stolen on that punt to the one foot line.

Trey Quinn dropped two balls a lot of guys would have caught. If the drive goes on, LSU wins 13-10 and we do not have the bad call on the punt. That is not on Jennings.

let's hope Harris earns it. let there be no doubt.
They can both get better. Jennings may need to step in, even if Harris wins the job. Its a long season.

Onward.

This is true. Even if Harris wins the job, Jennings may still need to be called upon. We need both to improve.

I have to give it to Harris. I am pulling for the kid. He brought a little spark to the game last year. A little development on his part and a little protection from the offensive line and next season could be a thing of beauty. Rooting for you kid.

still burning in your love for J Lee and bitterness towards Jefferson I see. Let it go man. I like Lee as well (sorry he wasn't the next Dan Marino with his quick release) but your head will be better if you can just let it go.

and there is no reason to believe they wont be. Why so many think our QB's can't or won't improve is baffling, More maturity and experience at QB, better receiver play, and better play calls and our pass game should take off. NO reason to believe those things won't happen.

Lol, no they won't.
because you can see that with your crystal ball, right?? Some of you clowns are real funny! Besides, the defense you mention losing starters. When has Oregon been real strong on defense anyways?? Their MO is offense and the Adams kid is a good QB.

I don't really agree with all that.

whether you agree with it or not, it is the truth. They could change it to a spread one read offense like Oregon, but they don't want to run that, and won't. That will cut down on decision making and reading a defense, but Jennings has to still be accurate enough in these settings. Completing under 50% for his career doesn't have anything to do with the scheme we run.

yeah, if you are eastern michigan. 8-5 is great. but when you have the highest paid coaching staff in the country, I think the bar tends to be set a teensy weensy bit higher.

also, I noticed my previous post from this thread has disappeared .
