Wrote something about how LSU has pitched regionals

This has been the talking point all week, so I went ahead and dug up all the information. Here's a story I just published. It doesn't solve anything, but you can draw your own conclusions. The main point is that LSU always wins Fridays and almost always wins the regionals.

Hunt in 2023 Saturday was washed out, they did not finish the elimination game. LSU-OSU was pushed to Sunday afternoon and LSU started Floyd and there was a long weather delay Sunday after 3 innings when it resumed Sunday evening Hurd came in, that’s why both were used. The clincher was played Monday afternoon.

Agreed it’s funny to me that people think there’s a right or wrong answer. I wasn’t thrilled starting Skenes against Tulane but we won the regional in the minimum number of games, that’s all that matters.

correct but if i remember right, it was 5-5 going into the 9th in the marble game in 2023. That’s most likely 5-0 LSU if Skenes pitches with less stress but if, if was a fifth, we’d all be drunk right …lol

Also another tidbit from yesterday I saw we’ve been to 37 regionals with 7 national titles. ECU has been to 35 regionals and never been to the CWS

It was but there was a weather delay after the 3rd inning, that’s why Floyd only pitched 3 innings, so if you start Skenes he only gets 3 innings and maybe it’s 0-0 instead of 1-0 OSU after the delay. Now if we had started Hurd Friday vs Tulane maybe he goes to Floyd after the delay and it’s an easier game 2 regardless. No way to know of course, but we wound up with a completely fresh bullpen for the final game and OSU was basically out,
