Again, I can’t believe how blessed I am that you not only post on this site, but even better that you chose to respond to me….
And you have all the answers it sounds like; so I’ll ask again; why are you not coaching?
You can blame Manieri’s lineup all you want; or you could show everyone that you might actually know a little bit about the game; and give credit to Gonzaga’s pitcher… especially considering the type of year he’s had and the gems he’s tossed before ever even seeing an lsu batter.

From an Ags perspective, I really like CPM. You all know much more about his issues than me, but he appears very uncomfortable at times during games due to his neck issues. My understanding is that his discomfort (or pain) doesn't allow him to sleep well.

I can guarantee, if that is the case, it impacts your decision-making skills. I personnaly cut him some slack there. With all that, he has your team in the Supers.

Pulling for yall this weekend.

Gig'em and Geaux Tigers.

Thanks, bud. But this thread has deteriorated into two retards bickering over who-knows-what.

Have you heard anything about your coach being a candidate for the job?

I hope Schloss isn't a candidate for your impending HC vacancy.

I admittedly came over here last week because my worst nightmare is LSU having a baseball HC vacancy at the same time as ours.

He’s made bad pitching decisions for years, though. And his teams are never able to bunt. I think he’s sn average coach, who has had a lot of talent to work. Much like Les Miles.

I watched the Eugene Regionals (which exposes pitching issues, especially from the losers bracket), and I have a hard time faulting his pitching decisions. Edwards didn't pitch well in relief, but my understanding is that he has pitched well previously. CPM didn't leave him out there very long.

At the end of the day, you are in the Supers.

His decisions through the season may have been suspect... defer to all of you there.

?? Did he have loads of talent at ND when they were winning 40 plus games and conference titles? Not exactly easy to win there.

you realize if whichever pitcher he put in, left in too long, etc. and the other team strikes out or hits a grand slam....the coach is the hero or an idiot ? I mean who the F knows what pitcher will be hot or lose it. I remember Ben McDonalds first world seriies game or whatever game was the big one and you could see the sweat streaming like a shower, I mean he looked scared shitless and Im screamingat Bertman (thru tv) to pull him out but he didnt . End of story, however I didnt want skip to retire because of he left ben in game

But he left Marceaux in. His last call was the right one.

If we win despite pitching decsions etc. WTF did you think when Bertman put Warren Morris in the line up in that game, and that time in the game , for "All the Marbles" ? I mean he hadnt played all yr. , had a broken wrist, because I thought Bertman lost his mind but instead LSU Won Another One & the Legend continued ! Great coaches, great players, and Great LUCK = National Champions !

2 if you count pulling him for edwards instead of marceaux. But then you don’t get marceaux in the 9th.

Nice! You just explained it to yourself. And you don’t know why he pulled Hellmers. I think the next two guys up were the top of the order, then he’d be seeing batters for the second time. Hellmers doesn’t have the kind of stuff that folks can see twice. And the top two guys had been watching him for two innings. I don’t know, but maybe that was the right call. Certainly Edwards is a better pitcher than Hellmers right now.
