We got the opposite half of the bracket from USCe, which is ideal. Everything else extends from that major plus.

USCe understandably gets paired with lowest other #1 in Texas, lowest #2 in ND and lowest #3 in Oreg st.

We weren’t getting the lowest 1 in Texas, so it’s either Iowa or usc. It’s a toss up which is tougher, but I think we match up better with Iowa

We weren’t getting the lowest 2 in ND. I’d rather UCLA than Stanford or Ohio st

None of the 4s scare me. But they did give us a 5 that’s tricky in Colorado. If they get past Iowa, I like our chances in a rematch though

Bottom line, if you want the opposite half of the bracket from USCe — we do — then you get the trickier half

It's true - if you goal is the NC, then as a 3-seed, no matter what you would expect to face a 6-seed, a 2-seed, then three 1-seeds to win the NC. It is the order that you face them. In LSU's case, the order would be UCLA, Iowa, USC, then South Carolina.

Of course, the less impressive those teams, are the more likely they would be upset before facing them.

Women’s basketball did. Cramming those good teams in one region won’t make the final 4 near as interesting

Would I rather a different 2, then 1, then 1 to get to USCe? Sure. But that *easier* draw comes on the USCe side of the final 4

One could argue that a 2 seed should’ve been awarded to LSU, but the path would all but be the same with a UConn as your 3. And I like our ucla matchup better than that

South Carolina on the other playing nobodies. Might as well just have South Carolina play 1 game, the Fina

I mean that’s kind of the benefit of being 32-0 and the 1st overall seed

How is USC(South Carolina) on our side?

But I would have been more comfortable switching LSU with Ohio State or UConn

I am surprised that they put Iowa and LSU in the same bracket just for ratings

Exactly. If you have half a clue you make sure LSU, S Carolina, Iowa are all separated to make the final four.

That ticket would out rate the mens final four. NCAA proves once again they are clowns.

Pretty cool how they punished LSU for not winning their conference tournament like the wonderful Texas and Notre Dame teams.

Surely those two would have beaten South Carolina, right?

You think they were going to let her get away with saying Cardoso should have hit Reese instead?
Not sure why the NCAA would care about that. That was more Mulkey going after Reece for not getting into the scrum.

That 100% did NOT happen.

It is 100% true they are on USC’s side…. Whether it’s misleading or not, who actually thinks of South Carolina when people say USC?
