They haven't played any FCS opponents. That's the difference.

Why? You haven't been paying attention to anything if you didn't know this. Texas is falling off the map. That top 10 win, at the time, isn't carrying nearly that weight today.

Now throw in Northwestern, Georgia So to that. Vandy also doesn't help.

Is it really that hard to comprehend?

The eye test is everything for them. Its how you look rather than who you beat. Who you beat is more important at the end of the season then as the season goes along

That’s why it makes more sense for us to play Tulane and ULM than northwestern state and Georgia southern

Yeah it is!! By the committee themselves we have beaten the number 10 ranked Gators and the number 11 ranked Auburn Tiger team! Who else has those type of wins??

A majority of the teams we have played are just terrible. And Texas is simply not a great team like we thought back in September.

It’s a bs argument when talking Top 4 teams. It shouldn’t be weighed equally. The idea that we’re going to weigh Utah State/Miami (Oh) or Vandy/Northwestern in the same breath as going on the road at Texas or Top 10 wins. You simply can’t.

There’s no way they have a “stronger” schedule than us. Just say you think they’re better than us and let that be it.

9 conference games vs 8 will always give them a leg up in SOS.

Texas was worst case scenario for us.

They played at a very high level that night and absolutely had the look of a high scoring Top 10 caliber team.

Injuries have since decimated them.

So in essence, we played a team capable of beating us and now we are getting little credit for it.

I agree the FCS Northwestern game also hurt. Committee went eye est and breadth of schedule over LSU, who had better top end wins than OSU.

It turns out SOS is a bullshite metric. Playing terrible teams vs. mildly terrible teams shouldn’t matter. It’s about playing the really good teams vs good teams that should matter. You can tell me Ohio States SOS is better all you want. Their resume simply isn’t. That’s what should matter.

That being said, just please fricking win Saturday I want it so bad.

No but you have the guys here crowing about "3 top 10 wins" when one of those teams is unranked and the other is now at #11.

Now, thats not to say that we dont have an impressive resume, because we do. That win at UT was a big one, just not as big or impressive as originally thought.

Indiana 7-2...
Wins over: Ball State (4-4), FCS Eastern Illinois (0-9), UCONN (2-7), Rutgers (2-7), Maryland (3-6), Nebraska (4-5) & Northwestern (1-7)...... I wouldn't call Indiana a 'Good team'. They've literally beat only garbage teams

Cincinnati 7-1...
Wins over: UCLA (4-5), Miami-Ohio (4-4), Marshall (6-3), UCF (7-2), Houston (3-6), Tulsa (2-7), ECU (3-6)..... UCF is Cincinnati's only 'solid' win
