Last night on the radio, they said OSU had a score of .95 and Bama .93
which is better? The lower number or higher number?

this reeks of corruption the BCS was tampered with in 2003 to get more voter influence and this is one of the results shameful
Doc, you and I are much closer aligned when talking about LSU and not theology!

How about this:
If everyone who voted OSU #4, #5, or #6 voted them #3, they would have a .9304 score in the Harris Poll. Then, if one of the two computer polls which gave OSU zero bump for beating a top 10 OU team gave them a bump to #2, which nearly everyone in the world predicted, they would have a .9600 computer poll score while Bama's would drop to .9200.
The end result would have been:
OkSU: 0.9391
Bama: 0.9385

Honestly I've usually just dismissed BCS conspiracy theories but between this and a the coaches who voted Okie St. fourth in the coaches poll the only real explanation is either these guys who are voting are completley dumb or they wanted 'Bama in the championship game so they voted Okie St. lower
Either way this is why college football's championship system blows, when debates, TV shows, and pollsters manipulating the system actually matter in determining your champion there's a huge problem

What I find truly baffling are some of the teams these voters put head of OSU.
Scott Johnson - This idiot voted Boise St ahead of OSU. How can you possibly justify that ranking?
Craig Morton - This moron voted Oregon ahead of OSU. Really? A 2 loss Oregon team?
Bob Wagner - This idiot put Stanford, Oregon, and Boise St ahead of OSU.
George Wine - This fricktard put Houston ahead of OSU. Houston?? After losing to Southern Miss?? Does this idiot really think Houston is a better team?

Look at Todd Husak's votes. Very strange ballot, Arkansas 15 and OU 10.

If they get all #3 votes in both polls, Alabama is still in with the computers giving them a .93 score.
The CPU score was the decider.
Think about what you just said.
So if Bama was 3rd in both polls, and third in the computers (OSU's score was higher), Bama is second overall?
Is there a modifier category for the Bear I don't know about?

Does anyone still think Pickens doesn't have standing to launch an investigation? Houston over Okie State?

Putting OK St lower than #3 was a blatant attempt to ensure they couldn't move up if others moved them to #2
Complete and total horseshite.
Agreed. And if those voters who voted them 5th and 6th would have at least voted them 3rd, well... It would be OSU vs LSU.
Completely rigged.

Higher score is better.
OSU was one computer away from having a unanimous #2 BCS computer ranking

His team agreed to the system without complaint by virtue of being in the Big 12. He might be able to sue the individuals who voted and the two individuals whose computer polls inexplicably gave OSU zero bump for beating OU. Outside of that, it is what it is.
In 2003, OU got in the game after getting killed in their conference championship and some of the voters still voted OU #2 ahead of LSU or USC. I'm not sure what he can do.
