Why were so many games nailbiters in 07 but we utterly dominated this year? Is this Defense that much better?

This team is conditioned 10 times better then 07, it's not even close.

That is the MAIN difference between this team and any other lsu team I have seen.

They are 100% efficient lethal killers.

They don't seem to get tired, ever. And momentum spreads like damn wildfire.

overall, yeah this years D is better than the '07 team and certainly has better depth.

most of the explosive plays this year have come from the D...or the return game.

Without factoring in the 2007 NC game stats, the 2011 NC team is better. It has won every game. It has played and crushed every elite SEC team (and wannabee elite SEC team, i.e., AK) except BAMA, which it beat as did the 07 (just Saban’s first year) team. Its punter and kickoff specialist are much better. It has better running backs (except for Hester, so far). It has turned into a better option team. The turnover margin seems better or will be better after the NC game. It has Mathieu.

I would trade my left nut just to have Flynn.

Yes he is better, but he would be throwing just as much. We do not throw alot in this system. And at best, we would still be 13-0

Our O put up 350 yds on Auburn (Muschamp) that year - in the 2nd half alone. And that's not including the long pass that LaFell basically handed off to an Auburn DB.

The '07 O trashed a veritable who's who of DC's (Bud Foster, UF (Strong?), Muschamp, Saban, Chavis, Heacock).

Like I said, their is literally no one I would trade on this team for someone on that team except Flynn and Shepard for Lafell. That is it.

I don't know what you mean, but crowtons personnel groupings were drive killers. You would have a hot hand or something working and you would never see that player or play again. Frustrating to watch. He never made any sense.
