If we had to do one or the other. I'd rather the loss to Bama. Just so they would have to play the SEC Championship game (Against Georgia) and we would still get into the playoff with a rest week. Why? Because frick them, that's why.

If we lose to Bama only, we still make the Playoffs.

having to beat UGA twice will be even harder than what i laid out as long as some others drop a game. it has been done before.

If LSU isn’t in the SECCG...a whole lotta stuff has to happen to help us.

I think beating Alabama would do more for the program and getting O off the hot-seat. Honestly, either scenario would be fantastic though...

One loss to Bama, especially if we would keep it within 8pts, would 100% put us in the playoffs. It would be the winner of the SEC game (provided the East is represented by Georgia) and us as the two SEC teams in the playoffs. Of course, it would be our luck that this would be the year that the commitee says "enough is enough with the two SEC teams in the playoffs where one didn't win their division".

I think so too, as long as OU, Ohio State, and Clemson don't all go undefeated.

No it doesn’t if LSU is 11-1 with a loss to Bama they are a lock for the playoff with this schedule.

I just think there will be too many 1 loss teams that either won their conf champ game or undefeated teams that barely lost their champ game for LSU to make it. Jmho

correct. all we need is to beat out ONE of them. only need the 4 spot. two of them can stay ahead of us.

You should be more concerned about the loss of your backbone

Pretty of precedent for the 1-loss SEC West runner-up to make it to the championship/playoffs

Yeah Ill take this and it isnt close. Take the opportunity to pay Bama back in the playoffs for 1/9/12 + you still get to beat #2 UGA at home in a ridiculously huge and hyped game which would make up for Bama reg season loss. Yall must have some crappy debaters

So a 12-1 Clemson, OU, or OSU who won their conf champ game wouldn’t get in over 11-1 LSU?

Who also happens to have 3 wins against top 10 opponents.

how many top 25 teams does Clemson play this season?

Common Opponents in scenario you mentioned: @Texas A&M

12-1 Clemson won because of failed 2-pt conversion... beat 1 top 20 team (ACC Championship)

11-1 LSU won and beat 3-4 top 10 teams

We will have to play bama or Georgia twice in any scenario so we may as well win them all, I like 12-0
