Would you rather be in USC's situation, or LSU's?

Everyone talks so much about how we are headed to mediocrity, that we are going to suck, etc. I think the luster is gone from USC. Even if nothing happens to them ala probation, I do not see that program being what it once was. So would you rather be a Trojan fan knowing that Pete is leaving, and they are no longer the "Mighty Trojans", or would you rather have our situation? (Regardless of whether they get probation or not). I think our situation is not as bad as you guys may think. And we will rebound alot faster than USC. I think they are headed to mediocrity quick. I think LSU are a few key players and an O line and D line from dominating again. (Regardless of our coaching situation) What are your thoughts?

I thik LSU is an O-line, D-line, and coaching away from being an elite team.

LSU. USC is done. Kids from here are trying to get to the SEC. Any top program in the SEC is in a better position than USC.

USC's "situation" isnt comparable to LSU's "situation" until they hire someone.

The point is we could be worse, we could be the Trojans right now. And even if they don't get sanctions handed down on them, I just don't see a big time coach going there. Their ship has sailed. They had a good run. Our ship has not sailed yet.

Wouldn't mind if we were looking for a coach.

So your saying LSU has a long way to go obviously.

If LSU had a good O line it would solve many of the problems.

Fast Eddie nailed it- I beleive major sanctions coming for Trojans- which further supports Carroll's move to Seattle.

USC's. At least there is a possibility that they will have a good coach next season.

LSU. USC is finally going to get hit with sanctions from the NCAA and even my Trojan friends are talking about it.

We are already there.

So, other than the 10 line positions on offense and defense, plus "a few key players" elsewhere, we're in good shape? Well, that's good to hear.

What are your thoughts?

I think when an entire LINE on one side of the ball, let alone both sides, is "all" your team is missing, then your team is fricked. When you're missing both lines, PLUS the most important skill position (QB), plus any semblance of coaching, you aren't bringing much to the table for an SEC team.

Les Miles will never win another division, conference or national title at LSU. He will never beat Alabama or Florida again while at LSU. He will be fired or forced to resign. Everybody in the world knows this. Why some stay in denial and make the situation worse by keeping him on, or supporting those who keep him on, is beyond me. Why do so many of you hate our school so much?

Are we sure of that? Isn't there an investigation going on right now?

LSU turned themselves in immediately and the infractions would be very minor if any. USC - well, from what some are expecting now is that it could be very bad for them.
