Idk, the saints success has meant a lot to the rebuilding if that city. Other nfl fans have more of a reason to visit nola if they think its going to be a good game. Not to mention the people ans not living in nola making the trip that usually wouldnt waste the money on a hopeless franchise. Could have also meant the end of the saints if that 06 team wasnt successful.

Just thought ab this. If the saints bkew and were moved to texas or wherever, what would happen to the dome? Obviously there would be no mercedez, so how would the state afford the up keep. Could have meant bye bye sugar bowl, no more superbowls, no final fours, etc...

ya a 20 year old with body paint is just like a middle aged guy in a dress with a pig nose, or a Brees/Manning/Brady etc. jersey and a hard hat. Or wearing a jersey at all.

It's creepy most of the older guys wearing Brees/Manning jerseys

in the case of Tiger Stadium 80% white trash from Livingston or some other redneck town who never stepped foot in an LSU classroom yelling racial slurs at black quaterbacks?

IMO -- the most probable outcome of Brees to Miami would NOT have been Saban sticking around any longer.... he was burning bridges in Miami and was looking for a way out.

Brees at QB would not have made those teams or the situation much better.... in my OPINION.

Assuming LSU automatically wins championships in years that Alabama did is not sound reasoning.

Saban at Bama didn't change 2008, 2009, or 2010 for LSU's fate... the only POSSIBLE added championship is 2011 --- but we don't know -- we may well have played a turd of a game and lost to a high powered Okie State offense that night --- no way we would keep up with their team last year in a shootout.... and say what you want -- but they would have been able to throw on us, I believe..... they could key on Honey Badger and do that in my OPINION.

So -- regarding the hypothetical question -- I'm happy with the way things have turned out for LSU and the SAINTS.

I would be ok with the Saints moving to San Antonio for just one more NC. Hell, I'd trade then for one more SEC title.

You're right I definitely didn't go to lsu and then on to grad school. Never missed a game at Lsu in 4 fb seasons. I grew up in Nola. My parents weren't really lsu fans by any stretch. I started liking them on my own in my teens. I was a pro sports fan and saints fan since I could understand football. I was at both nc games in the dome and they PALED I am comparison to the nfc cg.... Absolutely paled. Outside of marrying my wife and my so I being born I doubt I've ever been more excited than during that 09 run. And yes I'd give up the lsu program if it meant experiencing that again.

Assuming this is sarcasm, it sucks you would wish the dp on your alma mater in exchange for a super bowl.

Ok kid sure thing. You enjoy college more, I enjoy the Saints more. As I get further and further from my time at Lsu I care less and less about 20 year old kids playing college football. Sorry to burst your bubble.

I'm not a Saints fan, so obviously I'd prefer that LSU have one or two more national championships (your hypothetical).

Good for you. As I am likely further away from it than you, I care less and less about professional football which is all business and more about the whole atmosphere of college football.

It's more than just kids playing football. While the NFL is only about football.

since I'm a football fan, I really only care about the football aspect. So I guess this works for me

bragging

How exactly does one "brag" about their age? Age is one of the few truly objective elements.

If you don't think the NFL is all business, you are the one who is naive. Just ask the Saints fans. Oh wait....
