Would you have a problem being the #2 seed if we had a chance to do this?

I will preface by saying I have been taking this one week at a time this year. It is difficult to not get excited about the possibilities of this team. I will also say I am a fan and not part of the team so why can I not look at the possible historical levels this team can hit? I also changed the tile as it seems misleading. We win the natty in this scenario.
As much as I love that we are #1, it seems some narrative has started that Ohio St will challenge for that ranking come sessons end. Personally I would like to see the following happen for the a chance at history:
LSU beat uga for SEC get the #2 seed
OSU go undefeated and win the Big 10, #1 seed
Clemson go undefeated and win the ACC, #3 seed
Oregon/Utah/Oklahoma... one of them get the 4 seed.
Now granted, normally I do not want the harder path of playing the 3 seed, but I do in this scenario. The joy of beating the fake tigers from the ACC would be great. We would have defeated the defending champions that were on a 28 game win streak. Just another notch.
Championship game against OSU. Obviously we win this game in the scenario. You have the storylines worth Burrow transferring and OSU being the greatest thing since sliced bread, but no need for details.
The point of this with 4 top 5 victories, none of them at Tiger stadium and 7 total top 10 victories, would the 2019 Tigers be the greatest team of all time? I would think we would definitely have a shot at it.

LSU beating a 1 loss UGA who would be number 4 in the CFP would bump LSU to Number 1 regardless of who OSU beats in their Conference Championship Game.

I would think so, but if OSU boat races their next 3 opponent in consecutive weeks, I think we fall, however undeserving that would be.

I would certainly like to hope so, but I’ve seen a lot of talking heads saying if Ohio State runs through their schedule as easy as they have been then they expect the Buckeyes to be No. 1.
I think that’s retarded, but whatever.

I like glorious ending in your hypothetical.
But... damn it, I want LSU to come away with the trophy. That scenario would be a tough road after an SEC regular season gauntlet.
Let Clemson and OSU wear each other out. I want the path of least resistance.

The “talking heads” just like to throw things against the wall and hope for chaos. The committee will take into consideration the wins LSU have against top 5 and top 10 teams against the blowouts OSU had. If OSU plays against Wisconsin in the championship game and beats them again, that will hurt them.

JB I have been feeling the same way about this I like us being the underdog or the team they cast doubt on. I find it makes us play harder and really gives Burrow that Moxie !!!!

If LSU has to beat Clemson and Ohio State to go 15-0 they should go down as the greatest team of all time
That would be an epic achievement

Whatever puts the LSU semifinal in Glendale AZ

OSU is going to lose.

A win versus a ranked opponent will not hurt them. Let's say they play another top 10 ranked Minnesota. With three consecutive top 15 victories in 3 weeks, that's impressive, even if we feel the BIG 10 is overrated.

I don’t care which of the 4 slots LSU fills. I’m not sure why it would matter to anyone else.

Why not just get better on defense and who ever u play. Lsu would play that team?? Ever thought of that. Actually I just want LSU to focus on Arkansas. No other team matters right now.

Because taking on Oregon or Oklahoma in Georgia will be an easier task than taking on Clemson in Arizona who has been there before.

It was just a question about being the greatest team of all time. At the 3nd of the day we get in if we win. We have to beat all the team to be champions anyways.

Yes it would. Is that additional victory over an undefeated Clemson or OSU what would hold us back from being labeled as the greatest team of all time?

Clemson, no top 25 wins.
Bama, no top 25 wins.
Osu, 3 top 25 wins.
Lsu 3 top 10 wins.
It's easy to look good vs cupcakes.
Plus, you get to stay healthy.
Lsu has earned their spot.

Catastrophe syndrome is so ingrained in the rants DNA that after years of praying to be #1 when we finally get there the Rant starts 10 threads a day about how it’s better to be #2. Lmfao you can’t make this stuff up.

Your comprehension skills are lacking. I asked a question about if it would be better to he #2 because we would essentially get the Clemson and OSU games, win them, and then we could lay claim to the greatest team ever. In fact I said only in this scenario would I want us to be the #2 seed. Learn how to read.
