“My man Gus Bus, that’s the worst offense I’ve ever seen,” Michael Lombardi said on his podcast, via Saturday Down South. “He had no idea how to throw a football. Zero. Zero. All he does is scream at the players, he has no idea how to throw the football. He has no passing game … He’ll blame it on a rookie quarterback – no, he’s got a bad, bad offensive scheme. It’s horrible.”

Thats not anonymous obviously, I'll look for more.

If he needed a ride somewhere and his car was broke down, I wouldn't mind helping him out.

And while the scheme was inventive, it hardly is now and for the first time since Auburn appears to actually be running different things.

Because Gus isn’t calling the plays this year.

I actually like his power spread scheme. It’s fun to watch when it’s good. But he needs very specific types of players to make it work - a true dual threat QB and athletic OL for example - which can really limit his recruiting options IMO.

Id be ok with him as an analyst but in no way shape or form do I want him coordinating anything.

His offense was cutting edge back in 2010-2013 but it has been figured out.

He has a standing offer as district manager for Waffle House any time he so chooses.

No I would not want him....he is not popular with the auburn crowd and most are upset with his stupid expensive contract buyout..
He is only popular one day of the year...WHEN HE BEATS BAMA

Doesn't he have like a $20+ million buyout?

Auburn's stuck with Gus

He’s only coached one great offense since 2010 and it was a pretty fluky to be honest, so why would we want him? I’m also betting he would be more likely to take a G5 HC gig to try and bounce back than an OC job.
