but we have a "young" OL with 3/5 returning starters and a "young" team with 2 senior RBs, 1 RS Senior WR, 1 true junior WR, and a senior TE

To think Auburn scored that many points aginst the likes of La Tech, Miss. St. and West Virginia is absolutely amazing.

MSU just beat Vandy

WV is easily better than USL

if they end up winning 6 games LSU is going to get the credit for giving them the confidence to play with (a rebuilding) USC and then LSU will get blamed for destroying them physically to where they couldn't maintain it

You might want to wait on Auburn's offense until they actually play a real SEC defense.

LSU 31 Washington 23
LSU 31 ULL 3

Washington 16 USC 13
ULL 17 Kansas St. 15

Margin of victory in early season games shouldn't be the number one predictor of success down the stretch.

I think after the Lee debacle, the staff is being conservative with Jefferson. Kind of like the parents who allow one teen to run wild, then 5 years later are breathing down the neck of the younger brother to make sure he isn't going to end up in rehab for overdosing on pain pills.

It doesn't help that Jefferson hasn't hit on a long throw (excluding the pass to RJ) since the Peach Bowl, but I don't think that's the main reason.

they're being "conservative" with jefferson by making him learn 3 differnet offenses

But that's Crowton's style. He did the same stuff with JL and had him run the option.

However, they are definitely taking a more cautious approach than with JL.

There's a difference between expecting a guy to learn 300 plays conceptually and actually running them, I guess.

fans want instant gratification, but I'd much rather they bring him along so that he's deadly his junior and senior years, vs. just sticking to the few plays he runs well in order to blow out ULL...

well odds are his junior year will be rough

but if they really wanna bring him along slowly, they shouldn't overload him with 3 unique offensive philosophies

one big reason why miami has taken such a jump this year is a new, simple offense

let your talent take over

we're running spread, spread option, and pro-style offenses. each requires different reads and thought proceses

spread option

not running anything that really requires a read though...last night and Wash game was basically "take off running and pitch if you think you're going to get tackled"

If he can handle the multiple approach the way Flynn did the offense will be in much better shape than a more 1-dimensional O...
