My Dad would say Billy Cannon being denied a game winning two point conversion in Knoxville in 1959 costing LSU back-to-back national titles.

Thankfully national titles were decided before bowl games back then or if they weren't and LSU beat Tennessee we'd have two national title opportunities lost in New Orleans in rematches.

I was glad someone mentioned the Billy Cannon td vs. Tennessee that should have been. Also from many years back, Todd Kinchen's long td catch vs. Vandy taken away in the final minute of play by a terrible offensive interference call should be considered. But for a whole game's worth of bad calls, Auburn 2006 takes the cake.

Eli was there from 2000 to 2003.

LSU won in 2000, 2002, and 2003.

Ole Miss spanked LSU in 2001 so no one play cost LSU that game.

Also false start on the DT? Teh frick

Are you saying it didn't happen? Let me think, no no I am sure it happened just like I said. Maybe Eli wasn't the QB or maybe it wasn't ole piss. Anyway the DT was swinging his arm back and forth really fast before the snap and the referee called a penulty, he didn't actually call it a false start but that's what it amounted to as far as I was concerned.

Facemask on LSU vs USC, 1979. Kept their drive alive and kept LSU from upsetting one of the greatest college football team of all time.

I was at the game Benji did grab the mask HOWEVER the play never should have happened...

The blown call was the failure to stop the play to begin with when not one but TWO USC lineman moved which a false start should have been called and the play should have been stopped before it even began...

Yes we would have. And then just as now my Dad rationalized the poore performance against Ole Miss in that Sugar Bowl as we weren't interested in being there because we'd already beaten them in the regular season.

Difference for me being the 2011 game was meaningful...it counted. Back in 1960 it did not. Still no excuse for getting dominated like that in 1960...still should have been some pride involved.

Peterson call against Bama!!! He came down with-both feet in bounds against Jones.Legal interception. Game changer for the bama game!Bama don't care how they win as long a they win. I noticed they have not schedule ULM lately.

My favorite, understated gem from 2006:

Lafell v David Irons, Refs, and the clock

LINK

We had to settle for the FG before half because of this no call!

Ol' Bugeyes was lead official that game, as well as several of the other games people are pointing out. I really believe Bugeyes get's a $$$ handshake from somebody in alabama to screw LSU

PP7 "divot" pick. Two feet in, left a divot over a foot inbounds, AND they couldn't get it right with instant replay. Crucial timing at the end of the game. Just awful. Honorable mention to Cannon conversion. Very costly.
