Miles should bench RJF and do some damage control. We don't need to be another Miami or Auburn. If RJF wants to be a thug he should have gone to Miami.

Agree, kinda. Bench him for a quarter and let him know that if it happens again, he'll be suspended for a game.

Saban's alleged "Alabama Cheats" locker room speech that Franoccio used as a rallying cry for his 31-0 pasting of the Tigers in 2002.

That one wins, hands down, in my recent memory.

Bench him my arse. If some of you idiots were to read the full quote, then you'd understand he was giving Tebow a compliment, not threatening him.
Calling RJF a thug, an idiot, and a person with no class is awful, and I'd like to see mr. preacher right here call him that in his face.

It would be a really tough decision if Les decided to bench Ricky. I understand that you feel he should be repremanded for his actions, but you also have to take into account that the other guys on the LSU team could be affected by that decision. I know that LSU has ALOT of depth on the defensive line, but I still think Ricky is the vital pasrt of the defensive strategy. Anyway, after saying all of that, I heard that they were not sure if he was going to play anyway, due to an injury.

In all seriousness, where is this quote?

I thought he meant they were going to try to take him out of the game in the sense that they were going to make him ineffective at being "Tim Tebow", and contain him and all his rushing antics

It does not matter now, you have media outlets like ESPN making sure that it is made out to be a big deal.

He said they'll try to take him out of the game, but Tebow is such a tough player who plays with a lot of heart that it is tough to get a clean shot at him.

Son, I can tell you never had an arse whipping by someone who had a real motivation to do so. My guess is your parents, never taught you manners, or whipped your little butt for bad manners or language. Especially language. It is obvious that you never played sports because you fail to see how a person would take great umbrage,`(displeasure/resentment, saved you the trouble of lookin it up), with such comments as RJF's. One day you may be fortunate enough to grow old and become wise, I doubt it but there is always hope.

I read the WHOLE quote, it's just a stupid thing to do. If a FLA D-lineman had said this about Lee,with or without the compliment, people on here would be calling HIM a thug.Bank it.

That's the sad thing, the media is trying to make a college player look like a thug to sell some news. What they put out there was out of context.

Just when I think all of the tards have gotten out of their system there is somebody that comes along and lowers the level of discourse even more.

The first and third quotes are worse than anything RJF even allegedly said. The second one is at least tempered with a little restraint.

...and it only gets worse.

It's "book it". Now that you know, never say either one again. WHO gives a damn what the posters on a Florida board are saying? What does it matter? How is this going to make Tebow throw more accurate? Is Harvin going to run at light speed now? Will Florida's kicker nail 80 yard field goals now?

This WILL BE FORGOTTEN right after the weekend is over and ESPN moves onto the next weekend's schedule of games. I just heard an interview on the radio. A guy that runs a Florida message board was asked how the news was being taken in Florida. He said "it's no big deal". I repeat: IT'S NO BIG DEAL. Seems the only people making a fuss over this is ESPN and some LSU fans on message boards.

And then,

I'm confused.
