With all the talk about Joe Burrow and his being maybe the greatest Tiger ever, I thought y’all might like to hear this story. My wife and daughter were just on a cruise in Chile/ Argentina and had to check into a hotel in Ushuaia, Argentina ( the absolute last jumping off town at the southernmost edge of South America.) The desk clerk, in broken English, asked where they were from, and when they said “Louisiana,” he said “Oh yes- LSU Tigers- Pistol Pete. Everyone knows Pistol Pete!”.

Argentina is insanely crazy about basketball. I would expect them to know the name but knowing his ties with LSU is impressive.

I bought Russian matryoshka dolls in St. Petersburg (Russia) in 2009 with accurate numbers and names (Lee, Scott, LaFell and Hatch). We just ordered another set from the Ukraine! (Burrow, Chase, Ingram, Moss, and York)
