Woodward got Jimbo at A&M and then Kim Mulkey at LSU. Who does he get for LSU baseball?

He obviously will swing for the fences, pun intended.
Who does he go for?
*Hanny saying the exact same thing now

I think McDonnell would check the most boxes.

A few insiders across platforms have said LSU has moved on from Sully. There is some baggage there from the past that would not be good if coming to LSU and made public. I think that was Woodward's homerun.
Has to regroup and move down the list now. Mainieri, if he is given input, will likely push for Godwin.

Aaron Boone from the Yankees might be available

How much are you required to pay into that salary?
How much do you contribute to CPM's salary?

I don’t want OSullivan because he has short t-Rex arms

The correct pick is Vitello. If we don't hire him, years down the road, we'll look back on this search like Sean Payton losing out on Mahomes.
O'Sullivan has skins but is shockingly mediocre. Same with McDonnell. Tony Vitello is on the upswing of his career. Checks every box except past accomplishments.

You're not the first person to say this. I'm curious to see why you think that is?

Billy Martin or Tommy Lasorda

Because Godwin was a former assistant of Paul's at Notre Dame and LSU. He's had success and helped build up a smaller program in ECU; so it's just pretty obvious that he is who Mainieri would want.

Vitello is the correct answer

He would not be successful here. Never met an ex-player of his that said good things.
