First, no one is going to be tried for second degree battery - no one.

Second, this won't even get close to a jury.

So the only thing we know for sure now is that JJ clearly lied, initially at least to his dad and Miles, when he claimed he wasn't around when the fight happened, if this guy is to be believed.

So based on the assumption the guy is telling the truth, JJ is as much a liar as many claim the "victim" marine.

This whole thing is so stupid.

Funny how people actually think a trial would happen. Worst case scenario if files of that degree are charged is a pleading of them down to a misdemeanor for those charged.

In the end, the only question is if someone gets suspended or not for all this stupidity.

Is it confirmed that JJ told that to his dad and Miles? Or is that hearsay also? Seriously, I don't know the answer.

Because no one person outside the People involved have all the facts..

It's stupid because so many have speculated what they think happened versus what they know what happened.

I could see a player lying initially, "I wasn't there"...and then coming clean with the truth

Well, unless his dad lied when quoted in the paper, which then makes his dad a liar.

Oh I agree, it's hilarious how many people by every story, which is why I always tried to stated "If true" in front of my statements.

Thing is I've been to Shady's back in the day when it was still Richochet's and been to Almaza's a ton. There is no freaking way all these people claiming to witness things were there. I am going to laugh when the police have a list of 5,000 witnesses to this whole thing.

What exactly did he tell his dad? And I wouldn't be shocked that a dad lied to protect his kid, if he did. Would be wrong, but different than stating JJ lied.

And you mentioned JJ lied to Miles about being there. Was that quoted to? Where?

This is the most ridiculous overblown thing that I can remember happening in Baton Rouge. I've been here since 1976.

1) It was meant to be a joke.

2) That's what his dad claimed he told him.

The Miles thing was just thrown in there, but you are right, I don't know if he also said that to Miles.

In the end, I think it's funny that people assume someone is a liar when a 3rd party makes a comment. They are all liars.

But Cpt has been clear that he believes that the players should be arrested and charged immediately, and let the jury decide whether they are guilty or innocent.

never said this.

Do you morons get off on creating starw man to circle jerk to? I'm serious, are you intellectually incapable of attributing things correctly?

or do you just like to make shite up, and then repeat it ad nauseum. Like the racial angle, which was bogus...but it didn't stop your little sewing circle from running with it for DAYS.
