With the AAF now dismantled....

I feel bad for the ex- LSU tigers who were playing in the AAF. I really hope they are given at least a shot for another stint in the NFL.
I really can’t get over the fact Toby Weathersby left LSU early to go undrafted and ultimately unemployed thanks to the folding of the AAF.

You remember the story about Toby’s almost leaving school to go help his family after Houston was destroyed? The kid doesn’t come from a wealthy background, he did what he thought was the best for him and his family.
I hope Toby gets a shot and I wish him well.

I've stated on here - more than once - that a majority (more than 50%) of the posters on the rant are a*sholes, downright mean and hateful. I stand by this observation.

I agree I do understand him leaving because of the Houston flood but I also think if he would’ve waited one more year he would be in a better place than he is today.
And he’s also gotten three shots. One with the Eagles. One with the patriots. And one with the AAF. Not to mention he has been injury prone his whole career at LSU as well as in the NFL and AAF so I’m not too sure how many more shots he is going to get

The salary for one season of AAF was $70K. That's more than a lot of people will make in a year in their early 20s. Hopefully, he saved enough to finish his last year or two at LSU and graduate. He still has earned advantages from his football days to help him get ahead in life, even if it isn't as an NFL player making millions.

Actually, he didn't. He chose to try to get paid...he chose wrong. We don't owe these "kids" anything. We cheer for them while they are at LSU, but that does not mean that they are off limits for criticism.
The dude needs to go back to school and get a degree that is useful.

It’s a tough business, regardless of the level. Yes, I feal bad for the guys out of a job & can appreciate those that have not stopped pursuing a dream.
