thats what they are saying. gonna split time so stanley gets some experience and since he's been taking all the first team reps. guy will have 1 month of practice before the first game and he's gonna step in to start? I love rantards

And it's not like Masoli is a prototypical passer with a throwing style that fits any system. A guy like that needs to acclimate his strengths to a system before he is truly effective. Showing up for fall practice alone won't cut it by far.

Anyone that thinks Masoli is a sure threat at QB is overestimating how much talent he has for that position.

In college football a running QB can be very effective. In a one game scenario a mobile QB can give defenses fits. LSU had Mauck and Flynn who I would say were adequate passers but not great ones. Masoli is a dangerous player. After the last 2.years I would not write this game down as a win. Nutt had got Leslie's number right now.

At ole piss he doesn't have the o-line or off. talent like he had at Oregon, so no Ole Piss won't beat LSU, as a matter of fact we're gonna kick the shot outta them

All reports are that Stanley is gonna be their full time guy and Masoli will be the wild rebel/emergency Qb

This is what I understood, that Masoli is there as a backup QB. Quit worrying. LSU's D is going to take care of business.

Being able to transfer after getting kicked off for being a criminal and playing right away is bullshite. The rule because he already graduated and is taking courses not offered at Oregon is crap. Typical NCAA. Nice to know Nutt is willing to bring in known criminals from other teams.

By the third or fourth game, Masoli will be the full time starter at Ole Miss.

So was Brent Schafer. Its not like he's Michael Vick back there. Plus, he prob wont even be their full time starter

Didn't Schafer run circles around our D?

Wouldn't be surprised if this kid ends up in more legal trouble while he is in Oxford. Don't see him making it a full year.

I thought Masoli has to sit out this year.

This is the real concern. It's hard to prepare for a guy who isn't the full-time starter. Also, if Houston Nutt wants him, he has a plan for him. In Nutt's scheme he could really be more dangerous than Dexter McCluster because he always has the ball and can run or pass. Don't underestimate him. He caused USC all kinds of trouble last year.

Masoli was suspended for the entire 2010 season after pleading guilty to a felony burglary charge. Prior to his being kicked off the team, he would have been eligible to play in the 2011 season had he satisfied the requirements set forth by Oregon head coach Chip Kelly.[12][13] On June 9, Masoli was dismissed from the team after a citation for marijuana possession.[14]On June 16, 2010, Masoli pleaded guilty to marijuana possession and a traffic citation [15]

quote:

USA Today, The Commercial Appeal, and other media outlets reported on July 25, 2010 that Masoli had sent his scholarship release papers to a number of schools, notably Ole Miss. The report included Ole Miss rival Mississippi State, Hawaii, UNLV, Louisiana Tech, and Syracuse. Masoli would presumably be eligible to play in the 2010 season after completing his undergraduate degree at Oregon; he would need to enroll in graduate study not currently offered at Oregon in order to be eligible at the next institution.[16][17][18]

Nice rule by the NCAA. Nice pick up Ole Piss. You now have a known confessed pot smoking felon at quarterback.

Masoli won't be able to learn the whole offense. He'll play situationally and I don't think he'll be much of an impact against teams that can contain his speed. I flat out dare him to throw the ball against our DBs, he's not much of a passer.

Masoli = SEC Bust.

Les miles on senior day:

2005 - 19-17 win over ark
2006 - ot win over miss
2007 - 3 ot loss to ark
2008 - double digit thumping by ole miss
2009 - ot win over ark

History says we'll play like crap

Very good point. Since Les has been here, LSU has has looked utterly unprepared and played like dogshit on senior day. This is a trend that must stop.
After Bama losses, the team goes in the tank. This is all on the head coach.
