And JOB also brought the ball down too low and lost it on many occasions.

Hoping Malik is good enough and mature enough to start. Plenty of time later to be disappointed. Starting positive and assume .500 in conference will happen.

Ill be happy with JOB's improvement as long as he figures out you don't have to dribble after an offensive rebound.

This x100.

Every rebound he did the same power dribble when he should've just went right back up with it.

It's amazing that I have enough mind power to appreciate LSU's football, baseball and basketball programs without hurting myself!

I hope our football team does so well this year, that nobody will notice how bad our basketball will be!

One of the biggest questions I have is how they are going to use Eddie Ludwig, and how his off-season training went. The guy obviously has the height, but if he could add some physicality, he may not be a bad choice at 4. He has a decent outside jump shot, and has the fundamentals to block out and get a good bit of rebounds if he is played around the basket.

I think we have plenty of potential 3 and 4 players. The problem will come when JOB get's in foul trouble and we have no one to match up with the opposing center. Luckily there are not a lot of true centers in the SEC.

Eddie has always been solid. He's just lacked confidence at times, but he seems to understand the game well. Hopefully CJJ has worked more on his fundamentals and hopefully made him more athletic so he can possibly work at the 4.

Agreed. I think there will be plenty of times when Eddie and Jalen will be playing on post players. Most of the SEC's post players are lanky guys who do their damage on the boards and ally oop game, so maybe we wont get bullied around too much down low.

I think both Ludwig and Courtney are better at the 4. Their lack of success over the past couple of years has been due somewhat to trying to turn them into wing players. Neither has the athleticism for the 3. Putting them back in the post, especially in a running offense, will work wonders for both of them, in my opinion.

I think he is fundamentally sound, it is more about his physicality and mindset. He is gonna need to have a mean persona to develop into what we need, but if it is possible he has the body to be able to guard some post players if needed.

They all need to watch film of Ricky Blanton and Vernel Singleton.

Hickey
Carmouche
Morgan
Coleman
O'Bryant

Ludwig, Courtney, Stringer, Hammink, Collins, Tuba off the bench

I think those are the best 5 to start, dont need to start Courntey just because of his height, can play with 4 more guard types on this level.

Agreed, honestly I think it all boils down to his mindset.

I could see that.

I think Hickey, Carmouche, Coleman and JOB are set. It will be interesting if a guard or a post player is the 5th person. Not that it matters too much who starts.

As much grief as he gets here, I think Stringer could be good in a running offense.
