Ensminger's a hell of a man. If I had a son and wanted him to emulate how a coach should carry himself, I'd point to Ensminger.

You can say that about him and also hold the belief that he's incapable of fostering the level (or anything close to the level) of offensive proficiency that we were witness to this past season.

Go back and look at the 2018 offense where we routinely struggled in the red zone. That’s what we’re gonna get again. There’s a reason why Brady called the plays inside the 12 yard line.

Everybody forgets we started spreading it out and turning burrow loose last 3-4 games of last year after the Bama game where we lost 29-0 coach O said himself that after the Bama game he and coach E discussed needing to go to the spread and then DID against ole miss Arkansas Texas am and UCF in the bowl game...the offense looked totally different and Coach E designed and called those plays so...

Honestly, I'm not sure if Ensminger gave any indication of anything of true substance. For one, he's known to genuinely not care for the spotlight. That makes his entire interview impossible to decipher what's truth and what's just him shining the light elsewhere. If we're going to take what everyone has said to heart, there are quite a few interviews where Burrow is asked "Is Brady the big difference, the main reason for the offensive success this year?" and his answer always lean towards "no". Burrow says its more of him being more comfortable in the system and the receivers being more confident. A big part was the 10,000 catches this summer....according to Burrow.

In the end, we all would've preferred Brady to stay at least another 2 years but he left for a promotion. It happens, we just have to wish him well and thank him for what he brought to the team this year.....and move on.
