What are you'll predicting with 14 reg. season games to go. Hell 500 ball gives you a 20 win season. IS that a lock for NCAA?

22-23 should be good. If we go 10-6 in the SEC, we'll get in. No SEC team ever has gone 10-6 and been left out.

Plus games against Xaview, UK, UT, and UF will bolster some RPI credibility. Let's just win the games first, though.

Here's the formula:

We need to finish at worst, 2nd in the SEC West

We need to go at least 10-6...9-7 iffy.

We need to beat Xavier badly on Sat night. That's it for OOC.

We need a win vs. either UK, Florida, or 2 over State.

If everything works out, we have 22-23 wisn going into SEC. Let's say 22...

We get a 1st round SEC bye and play winner of E3 vs. W6. That, I predict, will be Tennessee vs Auburn. We need ONE victory in the SEC...and that one's going to be tough.

I now predict our record going into Selection Sunday will be 23-9. That SHOULD get us in.

There's a first time for everything. In 2004 LSU was the first SEC team that finished 2nd in either division to not make the NCAA tournament. Before that every team that had finished at least 2nd in either division had make the tourney. So maybe LSU likes being the first time left out team.

I say LSU needs to be at least 11-5 in the SEC. We just have to protect home court, and win three more road games.

2004 was all about the finish. ANd we only had 18 wins. NO team, 2nd place or not, was getting an invite with that kind of collapse. Fckin Lloreda!

I'm still standing by I think we go 10-6 in SEC play...which puts us in really good position for a tourney bid if we beat Xavier which would be a GIGANTIC RPI win (they are #5 I believe). If Wazzu continues to improve and win in the P10 and we beat Xavier...that'll be 2 very good OOC wins (hopefully RPI Top 50) and with 10 SEC wins that would put us at 23-8 and I think as long as we don't go 1 and done in the SEC tourney we'll get a bid.

I see us going 8-6 the rest of the way...8-5 in conference and unfortunately I'm picking a loss to Xavier.

That puts us 22-9 and sqaurely on the bubble given the weak SEC RPI and our own weak SOS.

I think that puts us squarely on the bubble, though if that wins the West (and it might) I can't see them denying a 10-6 SEC West winner despite the weak SEC numbers. But I could be wrong.

May need to win one maybe two in the tourney.

We played the local high schools OOC. We need to beat Xavier and go 11-5 in the SEC.

I think we can go 10-6 if we win a couple of SEC tourney games, but 10-6 and one and done in the SEC tournament might not get it done.

10-6 in the SEC and we are definitely in

The easiest way to get in, honestly, is to win the SEC West. Hell, there's a chance a 9-7 could win the SEC West.

If we pull of an 11-5 or, magically, a 12-4 we might make a run at the entire SEC.

a decent to good run in the SEC tourney would be all of the difference making we'd need.

Just make it to the finals, and it could happen. Have we ever actually done that?

Must be over .500 in the SEC, 9-7 or 10-6. 9-7 will probably require 1 or 2 SEC tourney wins b/c our non-conference was really weak. 10-6 is more than likely a tourney lock no matter what we do in the SEC tourney.
