That has not been my observation.
From what I can tell yankees believe we are vapid and pretentious, while Southerners believe them to be obnoxious, overly confident and ill mannered. While there are exceptions to both perceptions I have found ours to be more accurate than theirs.

I've been there. It's romper room compared to TIger Stadium. Everybody else in the USA is a wannabe compared to Death Valley.
