Over the next two weeks we should be able to rip off 7 or 8 wins. Florida isnt the Florida team of the past and Bama is terrible. Ull is bad this year and so is Lamar. There is no reason to think of these next 8 that we cant win at least 7.

Look I am not a sky is falling type but let's not act like southern and Mizzou were juggernauts.

This team may very well win their next 8 games but they have also shown that they have the ability to go 4-4 or worse during this stretch.

ULL will be tough because it's not at home, and we've all seen how we play away from the box this year

It first starts with LSU getting healthy
LSU lost that Mizzou series because Hess injury crippled the pitching staff the rest of the weekend

Without Watson against those lefties the offense suffered too.

Reid missing sucks too because he is the best eye at the plate and just putting the ball in play no matter the situation.

Injuries dude. Injuries are killing our team. We have a thin staff and a few of our good hitters are dealing with injuries.

Reid has the best hitting approach. The rest of the team can’t hit a curveball!

Until we get our hitters and pitchers healthy, we will be hit-and-miss no matter who we play.

Cabrera is not back to speed and who knows about Reid and Watson. We really need Hill and/or Marceaux back to their former selves.

IDK much about anything, and don't watch non-LSU games. But it seems like LSU takes a lot of called strikes. I can't find any stats to support that.

But according to the "experts," mid-week games are no big deal....we should just be happy we are winning SEC series....now we lose the series to MO over the weekend.

Can I be concerned now 2006?

Missouri could not hit and took 2 out of 3 and scored 11 Runs twice in the series.

I don’t mind taking called strikes early in the count. Just because it’s a strike doesn’t mean it’s a good pitch to hit.

This team does seem to have a problem with taking strike three. It seems to me they may be given too much information. They are thinking too much up there. I get taking educated guesses early in the count but with two strikes there is no thinking. See ball hit ball and battle until the pitcher makes a mistake or you can work a walk.

This team as a whole doesn’t have a bulldog mentality with two strikes. They are still looking for that perfect pitch. Reid has that mentality. Duplantis used to have that mentality.

Duplantis over the course of the last three years Duplantis has hit numerous 0-2 or 1-2 counts between short and third. I don’t recall him having a single hit there this year. I fear that Duplantis was told after the draft last year he dropped because he doesn’t hit home runs. He is hitting more home runs but it is taking away what made him great and on the verge of him being the LSU hit king.

This concerns me way more than Southern or our hitting woes.

5-6 runs should have won us game 3 against Mizzou.

Loss to the Cajuns
Sweep the Gators
Beat Lamar
Sweep Bama
2/3 Ole Miss
1/3 Arkansas
2/3 Auburn

Probably win it all in Hoover.

We are playing Florida with at least 3 players that I know of that were on the field at MSU, and Texas A&M that are replaced because of injury with kids who aren't nearly as good, in fact a couple of the replacements need a year or 2 in JC.
