The advocate LINK

Right Joe, sure.

If that’s the case, and you are going to pull the education and degree card i guess the LSU program should not recruit one and dones or even two and dones.

He can’t possibly be serious in believing that they really are there to prepare some of these high profile athletes for life?

Big time college sports are all about the WINS and the MONEY, Joe!

Stop spouting off nonsense that we all know you don’t believe.

And if you do believe that, perhaps a new spot for you at non power 5 school or smaller is where you rightfully belong so you can compete your mission of preparing youngsters for life through athletics.

In the 11+ years Les Miles was here, his entire recruiting philosophy was “give me 3 years, and I’ll put you in the NFL”.

Now for some of those young men who invested their NFL earnings wisely, maybe it did prepare them for life.

But I would bet that for the vast majority, it didn’t.

The lying by Alleva and LSU has been the most telling (and infuriating) part of this.

frick that! I want an AD that comes out and says, "We want to WIN at all costs! Go Tigers!"

I swear, Alleva could come out and say, "January 1st is New Years Day." and you people would say he was an idiot and didn't know what he was talking about.

I got my TAF bill in today's mail. It is apparently for the privilege of buying tickets to sit with 102,000 0f my friends on Saturday night to watch people get prepared for the rest of their lives.

Since when does burying your head in the sand and pretending athletes don't get paid preparing young people for the rest of their lives? Is Joe saying we should teach them to become doormats and accept whatever bull**** the authority figures deem appropriate without complaint?
