Will we see a lot of fade routes this year?

Seems like it would be a great way to take advantage of our size at WR

I hope the passing game consists of complex route trees that take advantage of the entire field. Far too long it has looked like our passing game consisted primarily of play action go routes.

When they suddenly started throwing intermediate routes, the defense was caught off guard for chunks of yards.

Hopefully strong, accurate throws result in us having a capable passing game this year

I'm with you on that

If Burrow can throw the fade that could help with conversions in the red zone though

No reason why Sullivan and Anderson couldn't haul in a few redzone TDs this year

I'm really looking forward to Foster Moreau having a good year at tight end that we been missing since Richard Dickson.

I'm with you on that! I want to see Short and Intermediate throws become a part of our game. So many talented guys...get them the ball short and let them make plays in space.

Only reason I'm excited about Ensminger is the fact that when he took over for Cameron, the passing game expanded. We lined up in the "I" and threw a PA to the FB in the flat. We lined up both Fournette and Guice in the backfield and passed to them.

Far too long we were run, run, run, PA Deep, run, run, Intermediate throw, run, run, run, run, run, etc.

It'd be nice to see them running something closer to the Saints Gulf Coast system.

I'd love to see CEH get the ball in space a lot in this offense

What's funny is I think the recent team that was best at completing fade routes for TDs was the 2011 and 2012 West Virginia teams - and their main 3 WRs were all well under 6 feet tall. But they were lightning quick and could get instant separation, with a QB who was accurate.

No doubt height helps a lot for jump balls, but give me separation - then you don't need to worry about having to wrestle with the DB.

If he can throw a fade, great.

If not, I'm okay with just lobbing it up there and letting our WRs go up and get it over the DB.

I've seen LSU do this once since 2014 (2015 vs UF, Harris TD to Tyron Johnson).

I just want to see any route accompanied with an accurate pass and catch.

Spurrier's Florida teams killed people with it

But if you can't execute it at a high level then yeah it's garbage

I want to see guys who are really fast catch it on the run and make moves on open field.

That’s how you wear a defense out and make running ball easier
