i'm not a lsu homer that thinks that it's impossible to lose. if we do, we still have a chance to win the ap trophy. that's why i asked the question.

I don't want the AP trophy, flag, writeup, honor, etc. That is not the system we currently use to recognize the true NC.

but that's just the point, IF bama wins, there is no way in hell they are the 'true national champion'. why would you think that, just because they split two games with LSU and one happens to be the dome?
lsu should get someting for winning one of two games too, right? sounds silly, but that's what you get when you have this precise scenario. this game is screwed up, and everyone knows it. and many non-lsu fans i speak with (bama excluded) want to see bama win to set up this scenario and bring an end to the bcs as it stands.
IF these are the two best teams, i think LSU can claim that title, but not sure if bama is (see generally OkSt, and the other 1 loss teams that won its conference) ---- then at least let LSU and bama play best out of three.
oh, and spare me your BS about bama playing great ball. they do, but the ignorance and arrogance of some people on here who think they only play football in the SEC is striking.

These ARE the two best teams, as decided by the current system. It isn't up to a coonass to decide who the two best teams are. Almost every year there is a team in the BCSCG that has teh same number of losses as another team, not in the championship. shite, LSU was not the only 2 loss team in 2007, but we were the best 2 loss team. I highly doubt you were saying we were not one of the 2 best teams back then. best 2 out of 3 is retarded, moreso than the current system.

Actually 3 teams have accomplished more, 3 teams have won a national championship. Hanging a flag for a team who does not win would be disrespecting the ones that do.

NO. That is not disrespect. You hang a flag when you are a champion. We will hang a flag for the SEC Championship. If we lose the National Championship we will not hang a flag. Nothing the sportwriters do should change this.
