Follow these links and start at about the 38 minute mark. Pretty good interview with some humor. Preview in the link but whole episode linked

Would love it if he embraces barstool like O has. He’s been on a ton and he’s made LSU a darling on PMT. it may not mean much but it’s nice to hear guys who are national and don’t just lick the taint of Alabama

Biggest takeaway is why doesn’t he have enough resources to even have a graphics team to help with recruiting? Wtf

Surely seems like they could at least have some student graphic design kids to do that huh?

Here's some stuff from The Advocate this morning...

quote:

LSU coach Will Wade has been on edge for the past 10 days, a smiling Darius Days said Saturday following the Tigers’ satisfying 78-65 win over No. 16 Tennessee in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

“I’m just going to say one thing … coach Wade,” Days said after the Tigers bolstered their NCAA tournament résumé with their best game of the season. “There’s really nothing else too much to say.”

quote:

“He wasn’t too happy with us after a couple games we lost,” Days said. “We lost four of five. You know how coach Wade is; he loves to win.

“So practice might have been a little longer, and he’s been on edge a little bit more, you know. It helped us, and it showed today.”

quote:

“We were better prepared,” said guard Cam Thomas, who led the Tigers with 25 points. “We worked hard after that Texas Tech game, so now we’re better prepared for those situations.”

quote:

When told about Days’ comments that he was on edge recently, Wade smiled knowingly.

“As far as being on edge, I’m usually always on edge,” he said. “Certainly, there was a heightened sense of focus and what we need to do.

“I look at it more as there was a singular voice,” he added. “Sometimes, I listen to a lot of people; I’ll try a lot of different ideas, I want to hear things.”

But in order to get his team back on track, Wade knew the best way to do it.

“At the end of the day, when things aren’t going as well as you want it to go, you get back to what you know, and you do what the hell you do,” he said.
“That’s basically what we’ve done. I’ve kind of taken back the reins on things, and I think that may be what they’re referring to.”

Thats some interesting quotes. If the people he is talking about is his assistants, you can bank on them being gone after this year

The only other thing I can think of is if he's talking to other coaches that he has a relationship with sort of like Oregeron does with John Roilbinson and Pete Carroll. I think you have it right though.

As long as they keep playing the way they have the last couple of games, we should be able to win at least one game in the NCAAT if not get to the second weekend again.

Tasmin will still be here. Armstrong I thought was done after last season. Nickelberry got the job because Heier left so late. No chance he’s back. 50/50 on Armstrong

Does Nickelberry even do anything during games? I almost never see him doing any coaching or anything productive. Armstrong is always active in huddle and on sidelines.

I’ve also noticed Vernon Hamilton (he’s the lighter skin black guy whose title is “Asst to the HC”) has been more active on the sideline during games, especially in huddles. In both games this past week you could see him several times on camera talking to players directly during timeouts. Just something interesting I picked up on.

I think Armstrong is here as long as he wants to be. He has brought in some crucial recruits (Watford being one) and is pretty instrumental in game planning and bench coaching. Wade has generally spoken well about him.
