I totally agree. Wade made a strong offer just like other coaches do and have done. I bet he offered free dining passes for all you can eat boiled crawfish and shrimp from LA Boilers; Plus free oysters from Acme Oyster House. But its BYOB!!!

You really comparing the resume of a baseball coach to a basketball coach is a reach. Put up the comparison stats of PM to Bertman's. At least that is comparing two coaches in the SAME sport. Love how you defend Coach K at Duke there Joe, we know you were the AD there. Did you ever apologize to that Lacrosse coach and team? How;s that new job working with F King going? You raised any money yet?

yep, damage control on his part, he's tightening up his resume thinking about his next job, has to get some distance between this mess and himself and give the appearance of running a clean, or at least a non-penalized program for awhile before bigger basketball schools come courting

this is bullshite. All the conservatives from central LA and west LA were teeing off on this Will Wade situation.
It was more like 30% of the fan base before he was reinstated. And, only now (after him being reinstated and the NCAA saying they don't want none) is it less.

This seems like a meaningless exercise to me, except that it temporarily gives both LSU and Wade a fig leaf of deniability in case there are violations.
Setting aside all the procedural arguments of whether the NCAA has actual begun a formal investigation of Wade, the admissions on that tape are bad. They will have to be explained, a minimum. In short, to keep Wade at LSU there is a lot of work to be done and he will have to be found to be clean. I hope it works out.

It’s crazy that a basketball coach is the most popular coach on campus at a school like LSU. Never thought I would see that.

obviously, that was an over generalization, but this is not a basketball state. in the more conservative areas of our state, basketball's popularity is even less prevalent.
