Will the stay at home and sports being cancelled lead to better attendance going forward?

I know a lot of people are tired of being in the house and not having sports to watch. When this is over will that lead to better attendance and more appreciation to go to the games besides football? I really hope this leads to more fans wanting to go to the basketball games next season.

In the short term, no. I expect a degree of hesitance to be in large groups, even when they finally allow fans at games.
In the moderate term, yes. I expect attendance to sky rocket for whatever sport is playing at the time and to continue for awhile.
In the long term, I expect things to normalize.

I think eventually. But until a full on vaccine is available for mass consumption I think people will be cautious.
On sports, on travel, on crowded events in general.

Guessing a short term loss of attendance, but as long as season tickets are purchased, the Athletic Dept will be fine. :-)

No. People are fickle.
Sadly, 4 months after this is all over everything will go back to exactly how it was before.

I just think life will get back to normal. I don't expect anything else.
My hope is that drugs will be found in the near future that can easily treat the COVID-19 virus and that it will become easily curable via taking a pill or getting a shot. If that can happen, then life can return back to normal.

I actually think that attendance in any large scale events will drop in the long run. After 8-12 weeks of sitting at home, not having to deal with traffic and crowds, people are going to realize how much they hated dealing with it after their first sporting event back and then stop going and revert to TV like so many others did before this.

Sounds like people are consistent.
