Will LSU have a better chance to make a run in ‘18 or ‘19?

I keep seeing posters point to 19. I’m not sure ‘18 doesn’t set up better.

‘18- You have questions all over the offense and the schedule is tough but by far the three hardest games are at home. Vs Miami will be on a neutral site where LSU will have a large crowd advantage.

‘19- You for sure lose: Devin White, Greedy Williams, Garret Brumfield, John Battle, Rashard Lawrence, Foster Moreau.

2019 schedule includes @Bama, @State, @Texas, @ Ole Miss

ETA: My bad I thought we went to UGA since they come here this year. I removed it

Under O, whatever year we're in, the next calendar year is the one in which we'll make a run.

My bad I removed the at UGa. I thought we went there and the schedule I looked at online only had OOC games.

At Vandy huh? Hell yeah! I’ve been waiting for that Nashville trip.

I stand by what I said. We lose some monsters this year even though the schedule may be slightly esier.

Let me preface by saying no year is better or worse for O...they are all excuse type years.

But @bama is just as winnable as Bama @lsu as far as that series goes.

@ Jordan hare is where we have issues

Good point with the road games next year but I went from pretty optimistic to nervous over last few weeks. For one realizing 7 of top 10 sec qbs returns this season. Also the Dlines for AU State & Bama are gonna be sick. With Miami & UF right behind them. With Ingram down, Traore not being that big time pick up, and ?’s about RT have me very concerned. Cush I was worried but I started watching film of gsmes he played n last year and if snapping gets better he’s gonna be fine. We need Burrow and LN to play big. People mentioned a lot of vertical passing. Well they better figure out ways to offset these elite pass rushes. Our qb May not have time for deep routes to develop often

Not so sure about us losing Rashard Lawerence after this year. We’re not going to lose a lot of guys. We’ll return a lot and have a great class come in. Most likely return our starting QB, and the run game should pick up better by next year. Not saying we can’t make damage in 18, but in 19, I can see us making a playoff run with a less brutal schedule than this years.

We could get Ingram back, and have guys that can play. I think people need to relax about the offensive line until we acctually see them play.

Depends on who's coaching the team in '19.

If it's o, same chances as this year. If it's someone else, the chances will be better.

The third year, it's always the coaches third year at LSU.
Plus, no Miami, AU at home and A&M at home won't hurt either. MS St loses half their starters next year and Ole Miss and Arkansas should still be in the crapper. The schedule will be 2-3 games easier.

Said that last year. We lost 1 guy in Ingram.

LT- Sahdiq (same dude)
LG- Damien Lewis (same projected starter)
C- Cushenberry or Bruiser (same projected starter)
RG- Ingram out so now it’s likely the senior Brumfield that started all of last year
RT- Deculus, Magee or Traroe (same projected starter)

So one gaurd is out and now the Oline is a huge liability?

If guys start getting hurt I’ll buy fhe depth excuse.

LSU is going 7-5 both years.

Just enough wins to keep O. Just enough losses to maintain the gnashing of teeth.

If he goes 7-5 in both years then he’s gone.

When we have a coach who will be the best coach on the field for 7 or 8 games. Right now we will have the second best coach in arguably every game.
