Yeah, they were 8-8 in conference and played an awfully weak non-conference schedule.

Well i'm young and ur right I dont know the history of SEC teams making it, so hopefully i'm off base here, b/c as we all know, any team can get hot in the tourny and make a run.

I don't think fans realize the history of SEC teams getting in with 10 conference wins.
I am with you. In fact 9-7 SEC teams almost always make it. I think we should be a little careful though. Other major conferences have left off 10-6 teams before, so I would be a tad worried if none of those wins were against Florida, Tenn, or UK. I would say LSU needs 11 SEC wins total including the tourney to feel extra safe.

Guess it depends if 9-7 or 10-6 wins the division. Division winners above .500 have historically been in the dance.
I think it would take some weird scenarios to not get in with 10-6. Some 9-7 non-division winners have been left out.

They'll probably slip into the dance for one or two games. Worst case might be NIT, which might not be a bad thing this year for this team.

You are saying that LSU will not go dancing if it wins the West with a 22-10, 10-6 record (includes 1 SEC tourney loss) but doesn't have a signature win?
You wouldn't make it.

Pisces,
I spoke with Joe Dean Jr today and he said that 10-6 and winning the west would get LSU noticed but he also said that what games LSU wins will make a big difference. If they go 10-6 but don't beat UK, Tennessee or Florida it kind of makes the 10 wins empty. If that makes sense. Keep in mind that how you finish the season is big too.

Yep...
You should have asked Joe Dean, JR. why he ever persuaded his poppa to hire his buddy Brady.
