JJ runs better than Jamarcus ever did IMHO. Whether or not he can become such a prolific passer is yet to be determined.

We haven't seen enough of him obviously to know that, but he certainly has shown that he has all the tools and skills to develope into one of LSU's all time great QB's. It is going to be interesting right from the start of this season to see how he handles the pressure of being the starting QB. (so far it seems he handles pressure pretty well)
(disclaimer: by saying the above, no knock on JL is either intended or implied)

he could possibly be the michael vick of college but JJ will be a much better passer which will give him what not many college QBs can do (if any)Be an efficient runner and passer

He is not going to be a running QB like Herb Tyler (certainly not like Michael Vick) but he can run when he needs to. There will be some designed run plays for him also. Just saying thats not going to be his primary thing or what he is known for.

To be honest I think this year will be all about how well Crowton can hide JJ's weaker points
If you're correct about that we may be in trouble, considering Crowton did nothing to hide Lee's weak points (see the Alabama game for one of many examples). The good part is I think Jefferson is much more Crowton's type of QB, so Gary's insistence on running his offense regardless of personnel or game situation may not hurt as much as it did with Lee.

After JL I'd settle for average. Average might get you 9 wins.

I'm betting that next season he is the best quarterback in the SEC.

HE'S MUCH BETTER THEN HERB TYLER. TYLER WAS 5-11
JJ 6-4
So all 6'4" QB's are better than 5'11" QB's...That's some great football knowledge there.
