dude its that bad throughout the SWAC. Grambling only had a pais attendance of 10,000 sat. in the highlights it looked like about 25 people in the stands

when coach rob was around they put many tails in the seats, nowadays the attendance is scarce

It will never happen for LSU. In fact, I can see just the opposite. LSU soon making you buy a set of "phantom" season tickets for the right to buy "real" season tickets.

Well you can talk about the SWAC as bad as you want, but they were #1 in Divison 1-AA for overall attendance throughout last season. So what does that say to other 1AA conferences that think they are so much better (eg: Southland Conference?)
Like the band conversation recently, you are comparing apples to oranges. The biggest SWAC school has only 10,000 students. (Texas Southern) Southern only has 8,000 and still seat between 14-25k for their home games excluding the Jackson state, and Grambling game. LSU has 35,000 students so you would expect to have big crowds at their games, including the majority of the fans that never set foot on LSU campus for a class that claim them and attend their games!

Probably not,but it almost did get that bad in the early 90's. You could have gotten all of the season tickets or road tickets you wanted.

It was pretty bad in the 90's. I remember games where LSU gave ticket to high school kids to fill sections. Some of y'all had to be there for the student recruiting days.

I agree with you ^^^ I remember when my brother got me tickets to my first LSU game his freshmen year over there in 1995. I believed the game was against North Texas. I believe the guy name was Gabe Northern, he had like 4 sacks in that game. The attendance was scattered in that stadium, but they later turned that program around. Same will happen for Southern. They haven't had a really good season since '03.

Well, don't take this the wrong way,but its silly to compare LSU and Tiger Stadium attendance to Southern's. Southern certainly has had some fine teams and has a loyal following,but this is apples and lugnuts.
BTW,Gabe Northern was a hoss.

I was talking more on Southerns level of what is perceived as "good attendance." LSU was once in the toilet for a long while, dont forget that! They had sucess and expanded on it, and it has resulted in what it is today. Don't leave the preception that it was a so called "elite" program from the start.

Yes you did and then you throw in the comment that it's apples and lugnuts! That's what I have the problem with. It's two diffent programs on two different levels. That's it. No need to throw underhanded shots. That's all i'm saying.
