Here, you lazy POS

quote:

The Packers will not re-sign Matt Flynn.

For now, they'll go with Scott Tolzien as Aaron Rodgers' backup, though competition will likely be added in the draft. Dreadful everywhere he's been but Green Bay — and oftentimes in Green Bay — Flynn won't be assured of finding a No. 2 job.

Nice job to copy and paste out of the link I posted da. Obviously I saw the Packers would not retain him, henceforth my question what are the chances another team picks him up you arse clown.

Don't get this by the packers, he was a great backup, much better than tolzien.

Probably a money saver somehow. They are fricked anyway if Rodgers goes down.

And multiple fat paychecks without any injuries. He was like the Revis of backup QB's

He has a long career. Longer than I think most people would have expected and made a ton of money. He'll be fine if he doesn't get picked up

yea they wont resign him because of the big contract Seattle gave him that Green bay took over. cheaper to go with someone else ad a Backup QB. I bet some team will sign him if he is willing to get paid way less money.

I am pretty sure that Green Bay didn't take over any contract. That contract was guaranteed by Seattle and Oakland took it over in the trade once he was cut from Oakland that ended any responsibility from any other team to pay that contract when they picked him up. Green Bay was getting Flynn pretty cheap, if I remember correctly they signed him for the minimum.

When you consider Flynn's bio from his LSU days, he's done extremely well for himself. No big stats or honors, but he did get both SEC and NC rings. Now he's gotten his time in the NFL & has earned his pension money, got that $36M check from Seattle, and his annual salaries have always been in the $1M a year range. And has never embarrassed either himself or his teams, LSU & the pros.

I admit that I haven't seen the majority of Flynn's NFL snaps but this is the first time that I've seen him referred to as dreadful.

What?

He's an UFA

And his cap hit for GB last year was $1 million...

I wish they would. Palmer won't last the season without injury. Stanton and Lindley aren't a viable back-up. That is what killed us at the end of the year last season.

They drafted Hundley, plus they like Tolzien, so no need to keep Flynn.

He can probably get a job as the 3rd man if he's willing to take a big cut. He's already made a ton of $$, so he'll probably be open to it.
