O never wins if they don't luck into Joe Burrow

How did he "luck" into him? He literally went get him...recruited him personally!!!
Well, let's be open with this.

Burrow doesn't come here if he wins the starting job at Ohio State. That much is definite, he didn't leave until he was told he wasn't going to be the man.

At that point, he looked around. Nebraska actually was on his list from all indications, but their head coach said they were good and sticking with their guy (Martinez?).

There were 2 spots open to Burrow; LSU and Cincinnati.
Cincy at that time was close to home, but not Power 5, had not yet made the playoff, was barely more than a MAC team.
LSU was P5 in the upper tier of the SEC, loaded with talent everywhere but QB, and well-known to take and play transfers at that spot (Mettenberger and Etling are obvious examples).

Burrow knew that Ohio State would skull-drag Cincy, and LSU could beat Ohio State.
It doesn't take Orgeron heavily recruiting him, it was Orgeron NOT telling him to look elsewhere.

It's the same reason Daniels came here. Not specifically for Kelly, but for the talent pool. Oh, I can come start with these WRs? You don't have an established QB lined up already? Ok then, sign me up.

It was such a strange comment. Generally something like that would be said after several seasons (if it were indeed the case), not after two.

It's been throughout his whole career. It's why he loses more big games than he wins.

Ring a ding ding.

Aranda hired Bill Busch. Busch and Ensminger knew JImmy Burrow. Dan Burrow was instrumental in convincing his brother to go to LSU.

I might amend it to say that Orgeron was not lucky to get Jo Burrow. I'd say that Orgeron was lucky to the LSU HC. Because the truth is, with Busch and Ensminger at LSU, and with Cincy being the competition, a rabid baboon could have been the head coach at LSU and Burrow would have transferred to LSU. Orgeron was not a significant factor in the equation.

He's beat our two previous national championship coaches in bowl games against LSU.

He beat Miles - 2014 Music City Bowl, and he beat Orgeron - 2018 Citrus Bowl.

That's the actual truth... and you can even ignore the Burrow family knowing Busch and Ensminger.

LSU has been loaded with talent (and thus potential) for over 2 decades. Until 2020-2021, LSU has been in the national conversation every year, deep into the season. You're talking 8-10 wins a season, DESPITE the QB. Once Miles starting taking transfers at QB, it's probably been in the back of every backup's mind that he could come here and win more than the guy ahead of him at his own school.

It’s possible , the vibe he gives is that he is satisfied being a 10 win a year coach . He will not put in the extra mile in recruiting and has been more hands off especially in the off season . He is fine coasting these last few years out and being complacent where the program currently is . This current roster which is mostly his guys is not anywhere near a championship team . Next year will be basically all of his guys , he has huge ground to gain talent wise to catch up with the elites , I don’t think he’s willing to go the extra mile in all aspects of coaching especially recruiting to match the elite coaches .

Sure he can, if he stays long enough. He is a good coach, hires good assistants and seems to be hitting on all cylinders if\n recruiting. Winning a national championship requires being excellent in all aspects plus a hell of a lot of luck.

It is just a matter of time.._

'26 is the year. '25 is when the great class (not so sure it's great anymore) with Underwood will be freshman. They need to be sophomores or juniors before winning a nati. '26 or '27 I think.
