“The O-Haters fawn over Jimbo 24/7 on this site.”

quote:

Another lie, the reason Jimbo has been mentioned lately is because of his connection to Woodward and because we have a new AD. Maybe if you exited your bubble and conspiracy theory echo chamber for a second you’d realize that.

I'll take that as an endorsement from you for Orgeron over Jimbo. Glad we got that settled.

Yeah everyone knows that Saban, Belichik,Payton, Meyer, parcels,Lambeau, spurrier and every other great coach wasnt the most important person on their staff.

You dont know football at an elementary level.

In the last 20 years Damone has been the OC for as many productive offenses as Enmsinger.

And what was 2017?

He is averaging out at the 5th best class in the sec since taking over.
Facts and shite.

I’ve seen threads mentioning the connection between he and our new AD, but have seen nobody “fawning” over Fisher.

I think most people are optimistic about what Orgeron is doing and certainly hopeful about the direction of things. This year will be enormous for him and his future though. There’s no way around it. We have a playoff caliber team. The results need to reflect the talent and experience

Yeah I'll take the coach who has had a Heisman winning quarterback and has actually won a championship over the coach whose best record was an average season for Les Miles.

All these guys had to learn to stay in their lane of expertise, and delegate the rest.

They all have different skill sets, and none of them claim to be the sharpest knife in every area of the game. Orgeron's areas of expertise are in the DL, recruiting, and inspiring his players.

Saban's is in getting around NCAA's rules and regs and getting good deals on Dodge Chargers.

The O-Haters

People don't hate O. They hated Alleva for hiring O. Alleva is gone and I think most of us are willing to let the new guy decide O's fate.

But ten wins and third in the west with a crappy offense is no better than what the last guys gave us.

Here in lies your ignorance.

Stating facts about O's resume and his time at LSU in no way means you hate O.

Losing 4 and 3 games every year wasnt good enough for lsu coaches that had already been to the mountain top of cfb, so it damn sure isnt good enough for ed orgeron( whom took shots at lsu his entire career).

In no way does that mean they arent the most important person on their staff. Good God. Just admit you were wrong. The head coach should be the most important person on their staff.

You're acting as if I said head coaches should do everything and they dont need staff.

You're showing your football ignorance of you think the coaches I mentioned arent the most important people on their staff.

I would be thrilled if we pulled in the number 1 class. I don’t think we will. Last year’s was ranked number 1 at one point too. What’s different this year?

For the 2019 season, 100% yes.

It's crazy talk. As if any AD would pick ed orgeron over jimbo Fisher. Hell even our past shitty ad alleva wanted Jimbo over O.
That doesnt mean I think O should be fired right now. I think we will have a pretty good 2019.

Interesting considering he has struggled so much in recruiting defensive lineman. One 4 star nose guard a year doesn't cut it.

And his recruiting hasn't been any better than the other LSU HC's. If anything I'd just say he's been able to keep up with the standard set by those previous coaches.

Where are these mythical,"fire ed orgeron now and hire jimbo" posters?

It's a straw man argument.

Well considering our dline was the Achilles heel of the defense last year.......

This is what they do, they can’t argue the facts so they create these phony boogeymen to fight with. The “everyone hates Oregon” theory, the “we need to fire Oregeron before the 2019 season” theory are their two favorites and they themselves made both of them up. They do this all the time, it allows them to dodge the actual discussions and create phony discussions that allow them an arguable side.

The term "most important person" is vague at best. Orgeron has become a CEO-type leader. Other HCs are more hands-on.

Jimbo is his own OC. IMO, that will sink his ship. There are now much better OCs than Jimbo, because there are much better RPO coaches than Fisher. - but I doubt he will ever give up the reins to any offense - he's a control freak on offense.

Fisher on RPO offenses in 2017:
quote:

“We do probably 8 to 14 [RPO plays] a game. I think it’s dumb and it’s unfair to defenses. Guys more than a yard down field, that’s a penalty,” Fisher said on Tuesday. “But we do them. You have to.”

There are none. These "horrible posters" are saying that this is the year of O to show us he can do it. The roster and schedule set up beautifully. If he can't win at least 10 games in the regular season this year then changes need to be considered.
