Theoretically speaking, if Wade doesn't take the stand at the trial, then there will be no testimony for Alleva to base his decision to fire/reinstate Wade.

So maybe at that point Wade will meet with Alleva as requested?

Regardless of whether or not he has to testify at the trial, he's still going to be investigated by the NCAA because of the questions raised by the portion of the wire tap that was released. My point is, if he doesn't testify it won't be the end of the issue. And again, Alleva is not going to be fired, he's doing what his overlord's are asking him to do. Maybe his contract won't be renewed, that's your best case scenario.

Alleva is doing exactly what the board is telling him to do. Will Wade was recorded twice on FBI wiretap talking about paying players...there is no amount of arguing or other manuevering that will keep him from getting fired. Wade has coached his last game at LSU.
correct.

All of this has nothing to do with the actual trial. What's relevant to us is that Wade is on tape, twice, trying to buy players.

Our admin rightfully suspended him after his came out and Wade didn't explain himself (although there's really not much explaining that could be done - the tapes are damning).

What does this board really expect our admin to do, given all of this? And don't say "everyone else does it." Although that may be true, our head coach was caught on tape, twice.

Therein lies the difference.

Proof? Non-circumstantial of course.

Several board members are now seeing what a complete moron Alleva is.

Just now seeing this? We are in worse shape than I originally thought.

are you arguing the tapes don't exist? Or that they don't contain what's on the transcripts?

Are you saying the media is lying about what's on the tapes? Or they've been doctored?

Jeez, man, even the blindest of homers on this board understand that the tapes exist and Wade's clear words are on there. And rational people realize we have to operate within that reality.

Theoretically speaking, if Wade doesn't take the stand at the trial, then there will be no testimony for Alleva to base his decision to fire/reinstate Wade. Therefore, Alleva will have suspended Wade for no reason at all.
In all likelihood this was a FKing/EarringWilliams decision. Alleva appears to be the cuckold sitting in a corner watching. Now JBEdwards has stamped his approval on the thing.

All of them need to get kicked to the curb.

Everyone keeps talking about Alleva being fired, but fail to acknowledge the bigger question of "who is going to fire him?"

For all we know he is doing EXACTLY what his superiors are instructing him to do. Deep down I really don't think Joe wanted to suspend Wade because Wade is his shot a complete redemption. Joe's other 3 major sport hires have been less than impressive. If the people who have the power to fire Joe don't think he is doing anything wrong, then why would they fire him?

The problem goes much higher than Alleva.
