Will Alleva be fired if Wade isn't forced to take the stand?

Theoretically speaking, if Wade doesn't take the stand at the trial, then there will be no testimony for Alleva to base his decision to fire/reinstate Wade. Therefore, Alleva will have suspended Wade for no reason at all.
Are we witnessing the last month of Alleva's shitty career? I don't see how LSU could justify keeping him after such a debacle. Something big is going to happen soon. The only prayer Alleva has to keep his job is to reinstate Wade immediately, or find a reason to fire Wade with cause. It appears he's gambling on something coming forward in the trial.

Alleva is doing exactly what the board is telling him to do.
Will Wade was recorded twice on FBI wiretap talking about paying players...there is no amount of arguing or other manuevering that will keep him from getting fired. Wade has coached his last game at LSU. Our basketball program will be very lucky not to end up with the death penalty over this.

If there is no proof that Wade paid Smart or anyone else, there is no way that the NCAA can sanction us.

At this point one has nothing to do with the other. The cat is out of the bag and it’s an ncaa issue for LSU, not a legal issue. Ncaa will be at lsu’s Doorstep soon if it is not already there.

Two possibilities:
1. Alleva suspended someone who didn't deserve it at the pinnacle of the season, arguably destroying a legitimate possibility of a deep run and creating an atmosphere of disappointment around the entire program in a moment that we should be proud of our conference champions
2. His hand-picked guy (3rd basketball hire after two huge disappointments) got legit caught with hand in cookie jar
Pick your poison, doesn't matter. In either case this motherfricker already deserves to be run out of Louisiana. This gutless sack of shite doesn't deserve a job at any D1 program, and how he got one after what he did to Duke lacrosse is a disgrace.
