If you truly love her, you would sell the tickets to me at face value and go with her to the wedding.

You are setting a precedent. This is an early but pivotal skirmish in the long ground war of marriage. If you appease her now, her troops will soon be carousing in the saloons and brothels of Paris, besmirching the precious continent of your manhood with their filthy German woman talk.

Hold your ground. Hoooooolllld. Hooooooooooooolld.

I'm a woman and I'd go to the game. None of my best friends would have a wedding on that day.

She'll get over it. You might not get "it" for a while, but she'll get over it.

That is the classic power play, and after only six months. She's trying to establish dominance already. Do not, repeat, do not give in to her wily feminine ways. Stand your ground, break her will, and establish that you are the man of the house. You will thank me later. Oh yeah, then PIIHB.

Why would you marry a dumb bitch that would want you to go to her friend's wedding instead of Bama @ LSU?

I guess it depends on rather you think she will get over it or hold it over your head for a long time. In the end it's a game, albeit a freakig huge game.
So it really depends on her. 6 months or not, as soon as my wife saw the date she would have already known I wasn't going to the wedding.
Of course ther will be a lot of other people who won't be at that wedding. And if they are, they will be standing around a tv at the reception

My brother got married when we played Alabama 2 years ago. I still give him shite about it to this day, I was pissed that I had to miss that game. Like everyone else said, you go to that game.

What dumbass in south LA does not check the event schedules when scheduling a wedding. I guarantee this game was on the books long before the wedding was... Most people would have looked at that - just sayin

Dude, stand your ground now or she will come to expect you to cower to her again when this similar situation arises.

1.) Apologize.
2.) Promise you'll go to her best friend's wedding for her 2nd husband once they divorce.
3.) ????
4.) Profit

Why weren't the ground rules for football season discussed before you put a ring on it?

You should have covered this in the prenup
