In a week or so LSU will have a President and likely an AD… then a proper search can go forward because I doubt the BOS selection committee will have made a hire

Yeah, I have no idea why a great coach wouldnt want to go to a school with no AD, no university president, and a meddlesome governor spouting off about how cheap we need to be. Sounds like a great spot.

No one is getting hired next week. We will have a President and likely an AD by next week. so your point isnt valid. Landry said he wont be involved and if private money pays then sky's the limit

Are we hiring someone tonight? Or tomorrow? Even if we have a list, those talks and negotiations are ongoing likely into Nov/Dec. LSU will have a president and and AD likely in the next 2 weeks.
And Landry also said a $100m contract isn’t off the table as long as the buyout is written to where it’s not falling on tax payers.
Like some have said, calm down. Most of What he’s said isn’t wrong at all. It just shouldn’t have happened in the open. By next week no one will be talking about Landry when the president and then the AD is hired and a search begins.

Will Landry still be meddling in these decisions? Wll he be publicly talking when new coach loses a game, backchanneling to get him out with his handpick3d AD hire?

Landry won this battle, but this hire better be a home run or he will have lost the war. He did a stupid thing making this feud so public.
