From that statement Mett comes off as being extremely competitive. I like that, I like that a lot.

Hey, at least he is a realist and most of it all, knows that he can/has to improve.

God I hate the fricking media hacks, Mett you should have got up and punched him the face. Man I'm in a bad mood Hurst goes down and this negative crap from some media hack job after the best QB prospect in 6 years leads us to ever 500 yards. I'm glad Mett can handle himself better than me.

As far as I know the intelligent people aren't criticizing Mett's play, we're criticizing the coaches "play", how can you criticize Mett when you can't properly evaluate him because of the playcalling?

On another note, I don't know who ZM8 is.

What exact media was "ripping" him to begin with? I haven't read anything like that anywhere...

When you can run for 300+ yards in a game, why on Earth would you even consider throwing it more than you have to? Why even take the risk of a turnover when you can simply impose your will on a team on the ground?

If Mett had no expectations coming into this game everyone would be so pumped about how Mett did compared to what we've had the last 4 years.

Mett had a good game. Had 1 bad play and took a shot on it.

Some people do not understand. They will counter that when you play Bama you need to be able to pass. Don't you think while the RBs are doing their drills the QB's work with the WR's?

So one qb was scared, one selfish, and the other thin skinned? We also had a thug, and the second coming of aaron brooks.

Look this is nothing new, if you start qb for LSU, you will get bashed, and sometimes rightfully so.

I think Mascona was being as thin skinned as he is accusing ZM8 of being. Mascona brought the quote up at least 4 times in an hour.
I don't think the quote is the best thing I have ever heard a player say, but I suspect he is reacting to social media as much or more than accredited media.
At any rate, when you have three hours to fill, you tend to jump on any little thing and beat it to death.

I much rather hear this than "I thought i played great" after a 75 yard passing performance.

Some people are just plain stupid and there is nothing your can do about it. Any person that hears the quote from Mett and has a problem with it is not an arse, not synical, they are just plain stupid.

Mett was being harsh on himself. Saying that he isn't happy with his play so the critisizm he received was less than what he puts on himself.

So just what the hell is the problem that stupid people are finding with that quote.
