Why Not Focus on Recruiting Smart "Leaders"?

So much emphasis is given to stars, it seems to me that the winning teams have smart leaders. Why not focus on this attribute rather than ****? FWIW Scott is a LEADER!

Did you play football at any level? Almosg every team i was on, the better players WERE the leaders.
90% of college athletics comes down to talent. For example: if Johnny Jones has a player that can take his man off the dribble, drive through the lane, and dunk over a defender, the other team's coach isnt saying to himself," dang i wish i wouldve thought of that play."

And how do you measure this leadership quality without actually coaching the players? Coaches dont know youre a leader unless theyve been around you during a football season.
