I was thinking the same thing. On Sirius radio they brought on some SEC expert name Lance something out of Bham. They said they were going to go "around" the SEC so I stayed in my car and waited. For the whole 15 minutes the only 2 teams they didnt mention were us and S Carolina.

But it looks like the coaches poll liked what they saw as they made a change with us jumping USC. In the end it doesnt matter as long as we take care of busines.

I watch as much football related TV as I can, and I noticed the same thing. If you watch the "Experts" this week, there was no mention of the game, but the week before was a discussion of how it could be a trap game. The "Experts" was this week was a USC/Barkley suck fest. Plus, you had to listen to that idiot Dan Hawkins talk about how tough the Big 12 is this year. Hey Dan, how's that Colorado job treating you?

We got plenty of love on College Gameday Final, you oversensitive pussies. The No. 3 team dominated an unranked team at home. Like it was supposed to. Why the frick would they talk about it all week?

It was a simple question, Bama got plenty of play...

Some of you rantards can't even be civil for a moment.

I had a chuckle after our first game. The first highlight show on ESPN had their rundown on the side of the screen. It listed the upcoming topics

#1 USC
#2 Alabama
#4 Oregon
#5 Oklahoma
Then some other sport or something.

Then I switched away and went back to not watching ESPN.

Every other thread on the Rant is either: LSU doesn't get enough respect, or Alabama and USC gets too much respect.

Chicken needs to arrange for a group therapy session for the Rant's inferiority complex.

Fwiw, Mark May and Louthssh Holtzthshhh had us at 3 and 4 after the first week. They both moved us up 2 to last week.

Maybe its because ESPN expected the game to go that way. It was a night game at home against a non-conference(Pac 10) team at that. It was impressive, but ESPN not talking about it is ok with me. We just take care of business as usual!

LSU beating up a Pack 10 team at home isn't really big news

the Hogs losing to ULM is pretty big

LSU has reached that point where, we are expected to win..

LSU was a 22 point favorite..which I kind of thought was high...I expected Washington to make it difficult...but this team is pretty solid

But still, if USC had beaten UW 41-3, they would be sucking USC's dick even more, while LSU barely gets a mention.

It's amazing how different viewers have different ESPNs. I've seen plenty/heard plenty about LSU beating Washington from ESPN, and it's been positive.

Bunch of insecure sissies.

Yeah I've read on here that Colin was saying LSU was the best team in the nation the other day. And I listen to Bill King in the mornings on sirius and he's giving LSU plenty of love. The Tigers are in a league of their own right now with only one or two teams that can say the same thing. Some people just love to be Nancy's and bitch I guess

LSU will earn their respect on the field, and I'm fine with that

So, you start the thread by calling everyone a bunch of freeloaders and expect them to be civil toward you? You may want to work on your thread starting techniques.

LSU took care of their business as expected thus the lack of discussion on ESPN. No news is good news this week...just ask Arkansas.

It's not an issue of being a ranter, you smug folks living in glass houses; it's frustration over the fact that we did not even get a mention in most ESPN programs this week. I can certainly understand Arkansas and ULM needs to be repeated.

But, as I mentioned earlier, in an hour and a half program, the "Experts," for example, mentioned the LSU victory over Washington exactly zero times. But yet, there was a normal amount of USC and Barkley love. They talked about how USC had some initial trouble with Syracuse, but they were eventually able to overcome the struggle. They then broke down USC's game against Stanford. And sure, I Ioved hearing Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Wisconsin being kicked in the balls. No one is doubting that Washington is an underwhelming Pac-12 team, but most people would rate Syracuse even lower than UW on the FBS power rankings.

I am proud of LSU, and like everyone here, I bleed purple and gold. But, when it come to attracting talent or when we are viewed through the lens of the public eye, it just bothers me when we do not get our deserved accolades. I am not so naive to believe that we are the greatest program in the history of college football, but give respect where respect is due.

Yeah, I know I rambled too much there, and I really lost the point about half way through, but it's f_cking Wednesday, and I will not get any new football until tomorrow night. So, cut a brother a little slack. EVERYONE of us here has had our ranter moment now and then.
