Why no computer pitch calling?

I never understood why they can't just have pitches called digitally...completely accurate without potential for bias.

The only thing I support having computer monitoring is in football. Put a chip in both ends so you know when the ball crosses OB, EZ, first down, etc.

college stadiums don’t have the technology installed to do that. The box you see on tv isn’t always accurate. The strike zone is 3-dimensional.

We have the technology, but it would make the game too “sterile”.

I’m not against automated balls and strikes. But the technology still hasn’t been 100% ironed out. The MLB is testing a system in the Atlantic League this season and if all goes well it might see MLB fields next year.
