Every coach, at some point, comes under scrutiny, but that is NOT the same as being on the hot seat. Coaches on the hot seat are in actual danger of losing their job. Les Miles has a ZERO chance of losing his job this year.
You are correct sir!

I don't think Miles is on the hot seat as far as LSU goes. I think he has lost the fans for a myriad of reasons, the greatest of which is the fact the we are now 2nd fiddle in the SEC West to our old coach that so many fans pine for.

s an unbiased bystander, your use of the word sonnyboy is highly annoying. You sound like someone that could use a good arse-whopping...
Really sonnyboy? Now just who is going to give it to me, sonnyboy? You?
Sonnyboy, you are just another internet baddass. Now go put your acne medicine on, go to your favorite porn sight and have your nightly work out. Be sure not to let your mommy find the sight though. She will put you in time out and have you talk to the preacher about the dangers of self abuse.

Perhaps then you can explain why Miles didn't get the one year rollover last year even though he had 8 wins and probably will not get one this year unless there are some contract changes.
Sonnyboy, this does not mean he is on any "hotseat"
Like I said, unless the AD has him there, he aint. No matter what morons like you think.

I can just see our new AD from Duke telling Miles that 50+ wins in 5 yrs, a national title, 5 bowl games in 5 yrs, and 4 top 10 finishes, hopefully, in 5 yrs is not good enough for his football coach.
Coming from Duke, he is probably in awe of the LSU football program.

This is why Miles has lost most fans. Because we have gone from the top of the SEC, to the middle of the SEC west

I'd say between last year and this year, yes. We are in the middle of the pack in the SEC west along with Ole Miss and Arkansas.
Last two years
Alabama 16-1 conference record
Ole Miss 9-7 conference record
LSU 8-8 conference record
Arkansas 6-10
Auburn 5-11
Mississippi St. 5-11

alajones, how dare you actually use logic to make your points. The "Miles Lovers" on here dont see this. They just take what Miles give them and run with it. If he says the team is darn good it is darn good, etc, etc.

How about records.
1-2 vs Saban
1-3 vs. Meyer
How about Saban at LSU?
0-2 vs Spurrier
2-3 vs Tubs
And isnt Miles 2-3 vs Meyer??

quote:Look at my posts in this thread. It is all about why the fans have turned against Miles. Which has happened in the last two seasons! You are the one cherry picking. You have taken one past out of all the ones I have made in this thread and have decided to attack it. That would be cherry picking!

Not sure where I insulted you, just asked you to explain something - which, of course, you couldn't - just resorted to name calling - typical attorney. You seem to think you are something else - sonnyboy, moron. You should be the poster boy for an 'ignore' button here.

Uh, try 2-3 vs. Meyer. If it goes to 2 - 5 then say Miles is owned by Meyer.
Posted on 11/30/09 at 9:03 pm to Proejo
I never said Miles was owned by Meyer. He does have a losing record against the two other coaches in the SEC that I said were better than him. Me saying 1-3 instead of 2-3 doesn't negate that. I have little confidence that Miles will have a winning record against Saban and Meyer once their tenures are up. We will win a few here and there, but having to play those two every year will surely hamper our ability to win the SEC West, and a National Championship. Not saying it won't ever happen.
What I am saying is that right now, and for the foreseeable future we have at best the 3rd best coach in the SEC.
I'm not one of the ones who wants Miles fired. I don't think it is as easy as some people say it is to insert any old coach and win 10 games a year. But right now, he is second fiddle in the SEC west.

12-0 no hardware n ending another season with 2 losses (SECCG & Sugar)

yes, but this year only 3 teams had winning SEC records and we were one of them.

12-0 with no hardware is a bitter pill
Losing to a team that both years will probably win the national championship is a lot different than blowing it. Florida was just better than Bama last year, and they are better this year.
