Do the people that make such decisions (the chancellor, BOS) even want him gone?

The Louisville example is what actually happens.
The Chanchellor is going to know if he has BOS approval to fire Alleva (calls are made, etc).
When he does... he in public "fires" the AD, but legally, he is put on paid leave. That gives time to put it on the agenda of the BOS and the BOS to officially terminate.
The same thing happens when you hire someone. In public they say they are "hired" but legally it's pending BOS approval, which again, they know if they will get or not.

I must have missed the need for 80k+ seat basketball stadium then.

Each day Alleva is not fired proves the LSU BOS and King doesn't give a shite about the LSU football program. If Alleva was fired Sunday morning, that would have been the indication that the BOS and King are serious and acknowledge the shite decision they made.

Hopefully Will Wades success/failure has absolutely 0 bearing on Allevas career projectary . Alleva should of been fired right after the Miles fiasco a few years ago . That was the most opportune time to do it.

Been calling for this for 5+ years.

How does he even get a job after Duke fiasco?

So F King Alexander has someone other than himself to blame. Both need to be kicked out of the state and banned from talking about LSU.

No idea. Alleva does nothing but waste the time of those interested in moving LSU forward. The guy is the perfect example of the Peter Principle.

From an opponents view it does seem past time. I listened to the 45 min podcast from Chris Laundry and he doesn't hold back in his opinion of Joe Joe.
I also saw someone post "Aranda was Coach O's boss last year." And that would be a bit uncomfortable for me if one of my subordinates became my boss. It'd be worse if I felt down deep I was a better coach.
JMO.
I like beating LSU. On the flip side I like it when the SEC has strong teams nationally and LSU should be one of those teams.

Alleva is dead in the water. When the local & national media is calling you out for your failures it's just a matter of time. Similar to Miles not getting canned right after Wisconsin loss.

I think we're only a few big losses away from Joe getting the boot
